Fletcher Kent is an Australian singer-songwriter whose soulful, indie-folk sound marks a mature evolution in an already storied career. Hailing from the Central Coast of New South Wales, Kent first captured the public’s attention as a teenager when he won Australia’s Got Talent in 2016 (under the name Fletcher Pilon). Since then, he has spent years refining his craft as a songwriter, drawing deep inspiration from timeless influences like The Beatles, Jeff Buckley, and Bob Dylan. Today, his music is characterized by an “old soul” depth and authentic storytelling, often earning comparisons to modern luminaries such as Matt Corby and Noah Kahan.
Recently, Kent has solidified his place as a rising star in the global music scene, highlighted by a massive year that included supporting Lewis Capaldi on a sold-out Australian arena tour. Following the success of his debut single “I’ll Be”—a deeply personal track described as a “personal manifesto”—he has continued to build momentum with releases like “Are You Ready” and “Open to the Light.” Having recently completed his first headline tour and spent time writing in Nashville and New York, Fletcher is currently focused on crafting his debut full-length album, blending gritty Motown-inspired energy with a modern pop edge that reflects his philosophy of growth and resilience.
