The Pitch Meeting is a musical movement, breaking new ground and cultivating a vibrant songwriting community in the heart of Music City. The centerpiece of the movement is Nashville's first "songwriter pitch night", an event where rising songwriting talents have the opportunity to showcase their songs, with the world-class Pitch Meeting band backing them up and bringing their songs to life. It is a forum where the vision of the songwriter meets some of Nashville's finest musicianship, and what results is the basis for one of the city's most exciting and fastest-growing new communities. Spontaneity, originality, explosive talent, and a supportive atmosphere make The Pitch Meeting one of a kind.

• DREW ERWIN •

Memphis-born singer-songwriter and producer Drew Erwin represents one of the quintessential success stories born out of The Pitch Meeting ecosystem. After moving to Nashville in 2018 with a sound anchored in Southern soul and raw emotional honesty, Drew entered the Pitch orbit when co-founder Erland Wanberg discovered a live clip of him singing on Instagram and invited him to the stage. That invitation quickly became a defining creative home, where Drew’s vulnerable lyricism and powerhouse vocal delivery locked in seamlessly with the house band for unforgettable live moments, including his celebrated collaborative performance of “Antidote.”

The relationship between Drew and The Pitch Meeting soon extended far beyond the stage lights, proving pivotal to his career trajectory in Music City. That creative chemistry led directly to a joint global publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music and Southern Pacific Music (co-founded by Wanberg), illustrating how Pitch Meeting serves as both an artistic sanctuary and a springboard for talent. From acclaimed singles like “Call My Name” and “The Street I Grew Up On” to his work with the harmony trio Verygently, Drew Erwin continues to embody the community-first spirit of The Pitch Meeting as an essential cornerstone of its musical family.

Soul-infused pop singer-songwriter, producer, and pianist Natalie Layne embodies the very heart of The Pitch Meeting’s ethos: music done the right way, for the right reasons. Long celebrated across Nashville for her radiant presence and joy-filled sound, Natalie steps into the spotlight as The Pitch Meeting’s featured guest as an artist whose creative journey mirrors the movement’s commitment to authentic, community-first musicianship. Her path from leading worship in Colorado Springs to captivating audiences across Music City has always centered on raw honesty and collective connection, making her a natural fixture in The Pitch Meeting family.

At the center of Natalie’s artistry is a level of musicianship built for the spontaneous, world-class collaboration that defines The Pitch Meeting stage. Armed with a master’s degree in commercial piano from Belmont University, she effortlessly blends rich gospel grooves, funk inflections, and jazz-tinged pop sensibilities right from the piano bench. That instinctive, live-in-the-room energy has come alive through standout moments with the Pitch community, including collaborative Pitch Music Sessions that let her vocal power and keyboard finesse soar alongside the Pitch Meeting band.

With acclaimed releases such as her Amen EP, the hit “Love Me Back to Life,” and her album All Joy, Natalie continues to make waves nationwide while staying anchored to the power of live, shared songcraft. Having Natalie Layne as The Pitch Meeting’s featured guest is a celebration of what the movement does best: bringing songwriter and house band together in real time to create moments of undeniable musical magic.

A versatile guitarist and Harmonica player, Pat’s style incorporates Jazz, Blues, Rock and finger style guitar and is he is known for his session and Touring work with a variety of artists. He has recorded with Lyle Lovett, Alison Krauss, Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, Dolly Parton, Peter Frampton, Michael McDonald, Tommy Emmanuel, Suzy Bogguss, Bill Evans, Benny Golson, Joey DeFrancesco, and many others. He has toured with Chet Atkins, Lyle Lovett, Shelby Lynne, Suzy Bogguss, Madeleine Peyroux, Tommy Emmanuel, and is currently touring with Peter Frampton’s band. Pat has been a
teacher and producer and played on many Grammy Award winning records and has appeared on many movie soundtracks.

EMLYO is the brainchild of Emme Cannon & Emilio Gonzalez, known for their silky blend of cinematic textures, emotional storytelling, and hypnotizing harmonies. With a sound straight out of a cosmic cookbook, the duo weaves together an intimate world that tugs at your heart and makes you want to sway, all at once.

After meeting at Berklee College of Music, Emme and Emilio now call Nashville home, where they’re winning hearts with their magnetic live shows. Their self titled debut EP EMLYO featuring “BOK CHOY” and “ready to go” is out everywhere, with more on the way.
