Nashville NC Running Festival

I am posting today to inform everyone I will not be the race director for the 2024 Nashville NC Running Festival. It has been a wonderful experience for me to be the race director for the last two years and I have loved every minute, but it is time to pass it along. I've had a few people that I've told the news to say they want to continue the event. So, the event is not necessarily cancelled, it's that I will not be the race director. More to come on future events.

The Nashville Run Club has been going strong since the start of the year with 20+ people in attendance each meeting. The below picture are the new t-shirts we just got in. Please come out and continue to support the Nashville Run Club that meets the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month at 8:30am at the Baked and Brewed Coffee Shop in Downtown Nashville.

Calling all running enthusiasts and Nashville locals!

We need your support to make the 2024 Nashville NC Running Festival an unforgettable experience and to raise more funds for the Special Olympics! We're proposing to the Nashville Town Council to close the East bound lane of West Washington Street and East Washington Street to ensure the best race day experience. The new proposed course is a game-changer and closing this one lane for 30 minutes on a Saturday morning is crucial to creating a safer and more vibrant atmosphere for runners and spectators alike.

The Nashville NC Running Festival is proud to sponsor other local running events and charities and is a Silver Sponsor of the Mill Chill - Race, Live Music, Food Trucks, & Craft Beer benefitting Multiple Sclerosis. The Mill Chill is a 4-mile and 1.5-mile race on December 10, 2023, at 1:30pm at the Rocky Mount Mills. https://www.millchill.com/

THANK YOU! Thank you to the 375 participants that ran and cross the finish line. Thank you to the 50 volunteers that gave their time to make this event a success. Thank you to the 26 sponsors that provided financially. Thank you to the Nashville Police Department and Nashville Fire Department for keeping the runners safe. Thank you to the Town of Nashville for allowing this event to take place in this historic town.

The idea behind this event has always been to bring family, friends and the community together to be a part of something greater than ourselves. I've heard several inspirational stores from Saturday's event including a young man with MS who completed his first 1-mile race, a father and daughter that ran their first marathon together, and countless others that experienced a fun day with friends.

I hope the events becomes a tradition in Nashville and we continue to make memories together.

Come out and see these exceptional eagles in action as they volunteer for this years Nashville NC Running Festival. Support the runners while enjoying drinks, food and fun music!

The Exceptional Eagles will be assisting in the Nashville Running Festival on Saturday!As a thank you for volunteering, Travis Hedgepeth graciously donated a Smart TV to the Upper School Exceptional Eagles classroom.

We are expecting perfect weather for a festival on Saturday, October 28th, with a high of 77 and 0% chance of rain. Come out and enjoy the community and festival atmosphere at the Nashville NC Running Festival located in downtown Nashville beside the Nash County Courthouse. The Sleeping B***y Band Concert is Free. A few spaces are still available to run in one of our 5 races.

We are excited to share that over 110 kids, ages 14 and under, are registered for the Free 1-mile fun run!
