Tomorrow is the day of Ashura (يوم عاشوراء (

The Day of Ashura (10th of Muharram) is one of the most virtuous days of the Islamic year. Its merits (faḍā’il) are established in authentic hadith.
ومما يدل على فضل شهر الله المحرم ما رواه مسلم عن أبي هريرة -رضي الله عنه- قال: قال رسول الله  : "أفضل الصيام بعد رمضان شهر الله المحرم، وأفضل الصلاة بعد الفريضة صلاة الليل".
ويدل هذا الحديث على الترغيب في الإكثار من الصّيام في شهر محرم لا صومه كله، فلم يصم النبي  شهراً كاملاً غير رمضان
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: ‘The best of fasting after Ramadan is fasting Allah’s month of Muharram.” (Muslim)

‏ان من فضائل هذا الشهر ان فيه يوم عاشوراء وعن ابن عباس رضي الله تعالى عنه قال: (ما رأيت النّبي - صلّى الله عليه وسلّم - يتحرّى صيام يومٍ فضَّله على غيره إلا هذا اليوم، يوم عاشوراء، وهذا الشّهر، يعني شهر رمضان) رواه البخاري، ومسلم، والنَّسائي، وأحمد.
I have not seen the Prophet - may God bless him and grant him peace - seeking to fast on a day that he preferred over any other day except this day, the day of Ashura, and this month, meaning the month of Ramadan.) Narrated by Al-Bukhari, Muslim, Al-Nasa’i, and Ahmad.

عن أبي قتادة رضي الله عنه، أنّ النّبي - صلّى الله عليه وسلّم - قال: (صيام يوم عاشوراء، أحتسب على اللَّه أن يكفر السّنة التي قبله) أخرجه مسلم، وأبو داود، والترمذي، وأحمد، والبيهقي .

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “For fasting the day of Ashura, I hope that Allah will wipe the sins for the year that went before.” (Muslim)

Salatu Eid Al Adha 2026/1447, May Allah accept it

‏فضائل شهر ذي القعدة:The virtues of the |
month of Dul Qadah| by Sheikh Ibrahim Caynaan;
Dhul Qadah month is one of the holiest months in the Islamic calendar. It is the 11th month of the Hijri year and holds a special importance for Muslims due to its historical, spiritual, and religious importance. Allah says: the number of months with Allah is twelve [lunar] months in the register of Allah [from] the day He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred. That is the correct religion, so do not wrong yourselves during them…” (Surah At-Tawbah 9:36)
This verse emphasizes that Allah has made four of the months sacred, and Dhul Qadah month is one of them.
