R2R’s CEO was honored to attend and speak at the CIS event, which brought together outstanding community partners and organizations from across the state. It was a valuable opportunity to share resources, collaborate, and engage in meaningful discussions focused on identifying solutions to the barriers faced by justice-involved individuals. Events like these remind us that real change happens when communities work together to create pathways of hope, support, and successful reentry.

Today we proudly hosted our annual Road 2 Recovery Nash/Edgecombe Block Party—a powerful reminder of what can happen when community, compassion, and purpose come together.

This event is more than just a gathering; it represents hope, unity, and second chances. Reentry is not a journey meant to be walked alone. It takes a village—people who are willing to support, uplift, and invest in the lives of returning citizens as they rebuild and reclaim their futures. Creating spaces like this allows individuals to connect with vital resources, build meaningful relationships, and feel seen, valued, and supported within their community.

We extend a very special thank you to Dr. Bernard Grant, Lady P, and Showers of Blessing for graciously hosting this impactful event. Your commitment to serving others and creating opportunities for restoration does not go unnoticed.

We are also incredibly grateful to all of the vendors, community partners, and leaders who showed up and showed out. Your presence, resources, and dedication continue to make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.

Together, we are building stronger communities, breaking barriers, and creating pathways for successful reentry—one connection at a time.
