Grow Nashua

Grow Nashua The program focuses on families that do not have the space and/or financial means to have a garden of their own. The health benefits are numerous.

Increasing our community’s resilience through programs that strengthen relationships, provide resources for families to grow their own food, and offer ecological stewardship that surrounds our Nashua neighbors with a wellness infrastructure. Grow Nashua’s mission is to bring families together with a common goal of strengthening their community while learning to garden and harvest their own fresh v

egetables. GN will act as a resource and a partner in providing space, fostering neighborhood activities, and hosting nutrition education through collaboration with schools, city parks, and hospitals. Community gardens positively affect the neighborhoods in which they are located through health, social, ecological and neighborhood benefits. As well as eating better and being more active, gardeners are more involved in social activities, view their neighborhoods as more beautiful, and have stronger ties to their neighborhoods. Grow Nashua’s ability to put down the roots, provide support, and continued oversight to projects throughout the city will lead to our gardens becoming valuable assets to our community neighborhoods.

Thank you Tito's Handmade Vodka for bringing this year’s Block to Block event to Nashua and the amazing Martignetti volunteers! We had an incredible day at Legacy Farm and together fulfilled Grow Nashua's goal of building more at grow kits and raised beds for families to grow their own fresh veggies close to home. Beautiful fall day, beautiful hard working volunteers, and beautiful to see community (even 4 legged friends) coming together

Exciting volunteer opp!

Adventurous volunteers needed! If you have time on June 24th and 25th, we would love your help managing the ropes at our annual "Over the Edge" rappelling fundraiser! No experience is necessary and you'll get the opportunity to rappel down the 24 story Brady Sullivan Building in Manchester. The time commitment is 1pm to 4pm on June 24th and 7am to 5pm on June 25th.

This is a very important part of this event. We cannot run the event with out volunteers for this task. If you can help or know someone who may be interested, please let us know at [email protected] or by calling (603)882-4011. More information can be found here: https://overtheedgeglobal.com/urban-rappelling/volunteers/sign-up/
