Statement from the Greater Nashua Area Branch of the NAACP, condemning the comments of State Representative Kristin Noble
For Immediate Release
Date: January 16, 2026
The Greater Nashua Area Branch of the NAACP strongly condemns NH State Representative Kristin Noble’s comments related to a desire for segregated schools in the State of New Hampshire. It is beyond unfortunate and concerning that an elected official in the State of New Hampshire can be so ill informed, let alone hold a leadership position in the State House related to the Education Policy of our great State. As Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education.” Unfortunately, the comments of Representative Noble demonstrate neither.
As we ready for the celebration of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday in New Hampshire and around the nation, let us all commit to stand up, call out, and reject those who seek to divide us whether by race or alleged “politics”. As Dr. King said, “We may have all come on different ships, but we are all in the same boat now.”
The Greater Nashua Area Branch NAACP in New Hampshire looks forward to continuing its work with all of New Hampshire’s communities, and the comments of Representative Noble certainly demonstrate there is a lot of necessary and important work to be done, “Together”.
