Tonight is the night.

The 4th Annual Less Leg More Heart Charity Gala starts at 6:00 at The Castleton in Windham.

Every person walking through those doors is part of the reason an amputee somewhere got a ramp, a care package, or someone to call.

This time next Friday the room will be full, the raffle table will be loaded, and we will be celebrating a year of what this community made possible.

Nobody in this room is explaining themselves to anybody.

That is the part people remember. Not the dinner, not the raffle. The moment you look around and realize everyone here gets it.

Some of them are a year out from surgery. Some are twenty.

On Friday, October 16, we are doing it again at The Castleton in Windham, NH, Western style. Every ticket helps us show up for the next amputee waking up to day one.

Ticket sales close this Sunday, October 11. We give the final headcount after that, so Sunday is the last day to get a seat.

Dust off your boots. Western attire encouraged.

Pain after amputation can be complicated, personal, and difficult to explain to someone who hasn't experienced it.

Tonight's Heart to Heart is an opportunity for amputees to come together and talk honestly about the realities of living with pain, from phantom pain and prosthetic discomfort to the emotional experiences that often go unseen.

No formal speaker. No lecture. Just our community.

What is one thing you wish someone had told you about pain before your amputation?

Next Thursday, we're bringing our amputee community together for an honest conversation about something many experience but don't always talk about openly: pain after limb loss.

From post-surgical pain and phantom sensations to residual-limb pain, prosthetic discomfort, chronic pain, and the emotional toll that can come with it, this month's Heart to Heart is about sharing the experiences that are not always easy to explain.

There will be no formal speaker or lecture. Just real amputees sharing real experiences, listening, and learning from one another.

Whether you're newly amputated, years into your journey, preparing for an amputation, or simply looking for connection, you belong in this conversation.

You can share your story, ask questions, or simply listen. Your experience matters, and it may be exactly what someone else needs to hear. 💙

In 2016, I lost my leg. Here’s what I lost, and here’s what I found.

Popliteal artery entrapment syndrome. Ten days in the hospital. Weeks without a shower because of the wound. Not one other amputee I could call.

The facts never changed. My focus did. Today I travel the world so my son can see that being an amputee is not the end, and I get to show up for over two thousand amputees standing where I once stood. Healthcare saves lives. Community rebuilds them.

On Friday, October 16, we’re gathering at The Castleton in Windham, NH for our Western Gala. Every ticket helps us show up for the next amputee waking up to day one.
