FMC ECI board members will meet for the last time in Fiscal Year 2018 on Monday evening, June 18 at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to join the board in the lower level meeting room of the Floyd County Courthouse.

What is FMC ECIA?

The FMC ECI Area School Ready grant funds are from the state of Iowa and designed to help prepare children to be ready for school. The FMC ECI Area has been serving families with children ages birth to 5 since the fall of 1999. There is a degree of local control in how the dollars are utilized.

The Early Childhood grant is the smaller of the two grants the FMC ECI Area administers. This grant supports:


  • Resource and development coordination for the FMC ECI Area through a contract with Child Care Resource and Referral

  • Assistance for home and center providers to become registered, maintain and increase quality and provide essential, specialized technical assistance.
