🇺🇸 WOMEN VETERANS — THIS RETREAT NEEDS YOU 🇺🇸

Operation Second Chance’s All-Female Veterans Retreat is in danger of being canceled due to low registration.

📅 New Dates: August 13–16, 2026
📍 Heroes Ridge at Raven Rock (near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania)

This is more than a retreat. It is an opportunity to step away from daily demands, focus on your well-being, and connect with fellow women veterans who truly understand the military experience

💜 All travel expenses are covered
💜 Lodging is provided
💜 Meals are included
💜 There is no cost to attend

Heroes Ridge at Raven Rock is a beautiful 275-acre mountaintop sanctuary created specifically to provide veterans and their families a place to heal, reconnect, and find renewed strength.

If you've ever said that women veterans need more opportunities to connect, heal, and support one another—this is one of those opportunities.

Let's show Operation Second Chance that this retreat matters and that women veterans want these programs to continue.

At Sundays meeting we had the honor of recognizing Bob for his dedication, service, and continued commitment to supporting veterans and our community. 🇺🇸

Our Adjutant and treasurer Bob Buonopane was presented with this award by the State Commander in appreciation of the countless hours, leadership, and heart he has poured into helping fellow veterans through DAV. His impact reaches far beyond meetings and events, it’s seen in the lives he’s helped and the community he continues to strengthen.

Please join us in congratulating and thanking Bob for all he does. We are proud to have him as part of our DAV family! 👏🇺🇸💙

I received notice that House Bill 1078, which creates a Gold Star Family and Gold Star Father license plate, is scheduled to be signed by the Governor on:

Tuesday, May 19th
1:00 PM
Executive Council Chambers located on the 2fl of the State House.

They are requesting that we arrive about 15 minutes early. Just so that we make sure everybody is there. We have the bill signed, we can take some photos. Do all of the things in the allotted timeframe.

We would love to have as many surviving family members in attendance as possible. If you are able to attend, please consider bringing a photo of your loved one with you.

I understand that this is very last minute, and I know schedules are difficult to rearrange. However, this is an important day for Gold Star and military surviving families across New Hampshire. Families across decades have advocated for the opportunity to expand Gold Star license plate recognition, and your presence would help show the Governor’s Office, legislators, and the State of New Hampshire just how deeply these matters.

The expansion of this license plate program to additionally recognize Gold Star fathers, siblings, spouses, and children is more than a change in statute. It is a public acknowledgment that the sacrifice of our loved ones continues to be carried by their families, and that their names, service, and legacies deserve to be honored and remembered.

Your presence matters. Your loved one matters. Your family’s story matters. This is an opportunity for families to stand together and be part of a meaningful moment of recognition and remembrance.

We are incredibly grateful to receive this heartfelt thank you letter from veteran Wayne Ross after attending the National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic in Snowmass, Colorado.

Because of your continued support and donations to DAV Chapter 7, veterans like Wayne are able to experience these opportunities for healing, camaraderie, adaptive sports, and unforgettable memories alongside fellow disabled veterans. Wayne’s experience is a powerful reminder of the impact these programs have on those who served.

Thank you to everyone who donates, volunteers, and supports our mission. Your generosity truly changes lives and helps ensure no veteran stands alone. 🇺🇸💙
