In Remembrance — Paul Dean Beard
October 13, 1971 – March 4, 2026

The Bowie County Dive Team is heartbroken to share the loss of Paul Dean Beard — one of our originals, and one of the best people we've had the privilege of working alongside.

Paul was a little quirky — but honestly, that's what made him Paul. He was steady, trustworthy, and the kind of teammate who made you feel better about what you were about to do . That's not a small thing in this line of work. That matters.

We're going to miss him every time we gear up.

Into the Black We Shall Go.

Rest easy, Paul. You earned it!

Vessel Recovery at Lake O’ the Pines

This morning, August 3, 2025, the Bowie County Dive Team successfully recovered the race vessel involved in the fatal boating accident during the boat racing event at Lake O’ the Pines.

Our divers and support personnel worked as a coordinated team to locate the wreckage, secure lift equipment, raise the vessel, and tow it to sure.

We extend our deepest condolences to the Roland family and friends, as well as to the entire Outlaw Racing family.

We’re honored to serve when called—quietly, professionally, and with purpose.

Honoring Judge Todd Fore: A Legacy of Service, Family, Brotherhood, and Passion

The Bowie County Dive Team is proud to support the First Annual Judge Todd Fore Memorial Fundraiser, a special event dedicated to honoring a man who gave his life in service to this community.

Todd Fore was more than a lawman—he was a brother, a mentor, and a leader who left an undeniable mark on everyone who knew him. With 30 years in law enforcement ending his career as A Justice of the Peace, and he was also a licensed shooting instructor, Todd lived his life with unwavering dedication to justice, public safety, and education. He also played a pivotal role in founding the Bowie County Dive Team, ensuring that law enforcement had the resources needed for underwater search, rescue, and recovery.

His wife, Joanna Fore, is carrying on his legacy in a way that reflects everything he was passionate about—policing, shooting, and the dive team. The proceeds from this fundraiser will sponsor a deserving cadet through the Texarkana Police Academy, ensuring that Todd’s commitment to law enforcement lives on in future generations.

Successful Rescue at Wright-Patman Lake!

Yesterday evening, the Bowie County Dive Team was dispatched to Wright-Patman Lake for a civil assist. An older gentleman found himself in a difficult situation when his boat filled with water and capsized.

Our team quickly responded and used a lift bag to support the boat. We successfully brought it to shore, flipped it, and got it back onto his trailer, all while avoiding the expense of a wrecker and preventing further complications.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible team members. You sacrifice time with your families, friends, and loved ones to support our community and law enforcement. Your dedication and hard work do not go unnoticed, and your commitment is deeply appreciated.
