Farm Arts Collective celebrates JUNETEENTH, the national holiday that marks the historic end of slavery in the USA. The evening will begin with a Lenape blessing from Grey Wolf Henderson followed by a new play (a world premiere!) "Dawn of a New Century" written by Tasa Faronii-Butler, directed by Oliver King, with original music by Dana Jones. The short play illuminates a conversation between W. E.B. DuBois and Booker T. Washington. The performance features Crystal Tweed, John Neils, Oliver King. A community conversation following the theatre presentation will be moderated by the playwright. The Agri-Cultural Center is located on the grounds of Willow Wisp Farm at 38 Hickory Lane in Damascus, PA.

The Delaware Highlands Conservancy is partnering with Damascus Citizens for Sustainability to offer two programs for families in our community! Join them on June 18th for "Love Where You Live" and then on June 25th for "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle." Both programs are designed for children ages 5-10 and will be held from 4-5 p.m. at the DCS storefront at 25 Main St. in Narrowsburg. The UDC announces the opening of its 2027 Technical Assistance Grants (TAG) program. Applications from the UDC's member municipalities and five NY and PA river valley counties are due by August 21. A special meeting of the Council's Project Review Committee will take place to review applications on Sept. 8. The full board is expected to approve grant awards on Oct. 1, 2026 and successful grantees will have until October 22, 2027 to complete their projects. The Delaware River Basin Commission has published a new report, PFAS Water Quality and Fish Tissue Assessment Study - Year 3, and an interactive tool to support awareness of polyfluoroalkyl substances in the basin which will be the subject of a noon webinar on Monday. Registration is required.
