Narragansett Community Athletic Complex

Narragansett Community Athletic Complex The new NCAC will provide current and future generations of our students a much-needed, safe, modern venue for interscholastic sports.
(8)

It will enable our high school, middle school and elementary students to participate in healthful, competitive sporting and track and field events. Importantly, the benefits of a new NCAC will extend well beyond the needs of our school children. It will have a positive impact throughout our community. The new NCAC will offer:

• A new, multi-purpose synthetic turf field for football, soccer and la

crosse
• New, low-glare lighting for night events.
• An outdoor entertainment venue with 1,000-person, handicapped accessible seating.
• Unlimited use of track and field facilities, a plus for local athletic leagues and clubs.
• A Community Walking Trail for health-minded Narragansett residents of all ages. The funds for this facility will come from donations from town residents, grants, the school district and a bond referendum. The Narragansett Town Council voted to place the Bond Referendum on the November 2014 ballot! In a recent South County Independent online poll, 73% voted that they were in support of building an upgraded Narragansett Community Athletic Complex (March 2014).
