🌊 For more than 50 years, Sea Grant has connected Rhode Island communities with practical science, education, and expertise that strengthen our coastal economy and environment.

Today, Sea Grant programs across the country are asking partners and supporters to help demonstrate to Congress why this work matters.

⚓ In Rhode Island, Sea Grant supports working waterfronts, seafood businesses, and coastal communities facing flooding, erosion, and development pressures. It helps protect clean water, sustain public access, prepare a skilled workforce, and reduce future disaster costs. Federal investment in Sea Grant delivers measurable, long-term returns — for businesses, municipalities, and taxpayers alike.

As we meet with Rhode Island’s congressional delegation this spring, your voice helps show the broad, real-world value of this program across our state.

If you believe in practical science that supports communities and strengthens our coastal economy, we invite you to take one minute to add your name.
