Families and children are welcome!

All cyclists are asked to follow at the back of the parade march. The parade starts by the Narberth Library at 9:30am. Hope to see you there!

Join us for our Bike to Groceries weekly ride every Monday at 9:30am! We depart from Station Circle, head to the Maybrook trail, ride down Hathaway Lane to Ardmore to hit Trader Joe’s and the Ardmore Farmers Market. Those of us with cargo bikes can help carry groceries back to Narberth if you need.

If you live, work, shop, or go to school along Montgomery Avenue, this is your chance to speak up – especially if you walk, bike, or take transit on this road. Lower Merion Township and Narberth Borough are working together to improve safety and mobility along the entire 7-mile corridor, from City Ave to Spring Mill Rd.

Montgomery Avenue serves homes, schools, businesses, and transit—but from 2020–2024 there were 1,452 reported crashes on this road, including 34 involving people walking or biking, resulting in serious injuries and fatalities. Lower Merion Township and Narberth Borough is creating a Traffic Calming & Safety Action Plan, and your voice matters.

Do you walk, bike, ride SEPTA, or cross Montgomery Ave to get to school, work, or local businesses? Share your real experience and help shape safer streets for everyone.

This is a federally funded Safe Streets for All project focused on reducing serious injuries and saving lives—especially for kids, seniors, transit riders, and people walking or biking.

Action Alert: Attend the Public Meeting for the Montgomery Ave Safety Action Plan - Feb 3, 6pm, LMT Admin Building. At this meeting: ✅ Learn about the planning process to improve safety/mobility on Montgomery Ave ✅ Review crash and traffic data ✅ Provide your input on data and safety concerns

In 2025, Lower Merion Township (in partnership with Narberth Boro) was awarded a $340,540 federal Safe Streets for All (SS4A) grant to conduct a traffic study of a seven (7) mile corridor of Montgomery Avenue (from Spring Mill Rd in the West to City Ave in the East).

The study looks at traffic volumes, crash incidents, as well as the physical characteristics of the 7-mile stretch to assess potential improvements (i.e. signal timing, intersection reconfiguration, etc.) that may enhance pedestrian, cyclist, and motorist safety.

What sets this effort apart from previous studies of Montgomery Avenue is the scope and scale of the study. Past initiatives previously focused on individual intersections or shorter segments of Montgomery Avenue without necessarily giving much thought or analysis to the ripple-effect impact on other intersections/segments of Montgomery Avenue.

This SS4A study is truly holistic in its design and ex*****on, looking at the entire 7-mile corridor and how changes to one area may impact other segments/intersections down the line.

A public meeting for the Montgomery Avenue Corridor Study will be held on February 3 at 6:00 PM in the Lower Merion Township Building Board Room.

At this meeting, updated study data will be presented, and the project team will be seeking public feedback on the data as well as residents’ experiences traveling along the Montgomery Avenue corridor. This session is intended to gather input and better understand how the corridor functions for those who live, work, and travel in the area.

The Lower Merion Township building is located at 75 E. Lancaster Ave. Ardmore, PA.
