Where we've been, what we are doing, and where we're headed.
The First Twenty was founded in 2008 with the mission to improve the health, safety, and performance of those both serving and protecting our communities.
After launching the nation's first-ever mobile wellness solution for firefighters in 2012, our commitment to evidence-based solutions led to significant achievements over the next 7 years:
🔥 Our program was at the center of three major clinical trials in collaboration with FEMA, the National Institutes of Health, and Northern Arizona University
🔥 Implemented our program across major metropolitan areas, including Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Detroit
🔥 Extended our reach to federal agencies, serving both the United States Air Force Fire Emergency Service and the U.S. Forest Service
🔥 And remained in the constant pursuit of building positive foundational differences in the lives of first responders both on and off the job.
In 2019, we launched our Road to Resilience program. This innovative initiative offers first responders and their communities a clinically validated pathway to personal transformation, enhanced performance, and improved resilience. The program's success has led to its adoption as the official resilience program for USAF Fire & Emergency Services worldwide. Today, we continue to deliver resilience workshops to firefighters across the globe, providing them with essential tools to master challenging moments and build lasting resilience and enhanced performance.
