Today we’re sending lots of love, prayers, and well wishes to Clyde Butcher as he recovers from hip replacement surgery after breaking his hip.

Clyde has spent a lifetime preserving the beauty of Florida through his incredible photography and inspiring generations with his passion, resilience, and love for nature. Now it’s our turn to lift him up.

The 60's in Naples must have been something!!

🌴 Almost nobody realizes that on a quiet road in Estero, Florida, sits a village built by people who believed the entire universe was inside the Earth.

They were the Koreshans, followers of a man named Cyrus Teed who arrived in the 1890s with an astonishing claim. We do not live on the surface of a globe, he taught. We live on the inside of a hollow sphere, with the sun burning at its center. Hundreds of believers left their old lives behind and came to the Florida wilderness to build a perfect city called the New Jerusalem. 😮

They cleared the palmetto, planted royal palms and bamboo, and raised bright wooden halls with their own hands. They had electricity and a printing press and an orchestra long before their neighbors did. Walk the grounds today and those same buildings still stand beneath the trees the settlers planted, silent and sunlit, waiting.
