Protect Florida’s Waters

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s (FWC) vessel turn-in program provides an important opportunity to help keep abandoned and unwanted vessels out of Florida’s waterways.

If you have an eligible vessel you no longer want or are unable to maintain, the program may provide a responsible way to turn it in—helping reduce hazards, protect our waterways, and preserve Florida’s natural resources.

Learn more about the FWC Vessel Turn-In Program and eligibility requirements before taking action. https://myfwc.com/boating/waterway/vtip/

Today we are excited to announce that MarineMax has entered into a definitive agreement with Safe Harbor Marinas, a portfolio company of Blackstone Infrastructure Partners, under which Safe Harbor will acquire all of the issued and outstanding shares of common stock of MarineMax for $53.00 per share in cash. After conducting a competitive strategic review process, MarineMax’s board of directors unanimously concluded that this transaction is in the best interests of MarineMax and its shareholders. We believe this transaction will deliver compelling and immediate cash value to our shareholders and position us for continued growth and success. Together, we believe our combined companies will be able to provide even more value to boaters and to our industry than they were able to offer apart.

Nautical Mile congratulates Fish Tale Boats Fort Myers & Naples - 30 Years of Service in SW Florida's boating community

Fish Tale Boats didn't begin in a boardroom. It began with Bruce Fricke, who worked his way up through this business from the ground floor — rigging boats, moving into sales, and eventually making the leap to buy the dealership from its prior owner back in 1996. That earn-it, hands-on spirit is still who we are today. Bruce's wife, Diane, leads the company now, with their two sons, Travis and Justin.
