When we teach a child to fish, we do more than share a skill... it's about building confidence, creating lifelong memories, and inspiring the next generation to care for and protect our waterways.

Two years ago, the City of Naples Parks and Recreation included our Kids Fishing Clinic with the annual Tree Fest event! 🎣 We love the seamless partnership of these two events!

While the Cabbage Palm may be the state tree, the Mangrove could arguably be our SWFL tree. Mangroves are the nursery of Southwest Florida's fisheries. They provide food, shelter, and protection for countless marine species, supporting the recreational and commercial fishing industries that drive our coastal economy.

Today's young anglers are tomorrow's stewards of our marine resources. By connecting young people to the water, we preserve our coastal heritage, and develop the next generation of conservationists, anglers, and marine industry leaders.

A huge thank you to our volunteers, sponsors, parents, and community partners. We can’t wait to see everyone back next year... mark your calendars for June 5, 2027!

What an incredible day at our Fishing Clinic at the Arbor Fest event! 🎣

We had the privilege of teaching 170 kids the fundamentals of fishing, water safety, conservation, and outdoor stewardship. Seeing so many young anglers eager to learn, catch fish, and enjoy the outdoors made the event a tremendous success.

A huge thank you to our volunteers, sponsors, parents, and community partners who helped make this day possible. Your support creates lasting memories and helps inspire the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts.

We can’t wait to see everyone back next year!

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frank Donohue, a respected member of the Florida boating and marine community.

Frank was well known throughout Naples and across the state for his many years of leadership and service within the marine industry. A marine consultant with Turrell, Hall & Associates and Emerald Lady Yacht Service— His career included marina operations, yacht services, marine consulting, and advocacy for the boating community. He served on the board of both the Marine Industries Association of Collier County and Marine Industries Association of Florida.

Just last week, we honored Frank Donohue with a Lifetime Service Award at our Annual Meeting, which was accepted on his behalf by his daughter, Katherine. Speaking to him yesterday, he was in a lot of pain but so thankful and honored to receive the praise and adoration from all of you! 🩵

Frank, thank you for your commitment to the marine industry— Your service has been fundamental to our industry success! To Cathy and Katherine, thank you for sharing him with all of us, our most sincere condolences to you!! ❤️😔

Because of the support from sponsors like , the Heels & Reels Girls Fishing Program continues to create opportunities for confidence-building, empowerment, and connection on the water. 💙

This generosity helps provide meaningful experiences for girls in our community — reminding them they are capable, supported, and strong both on and off the water.

Thank you for believing in the power of mentorship, fishing, and time on the water to change lives. Together, we’re helping the next generation discover confidence one cast at a time. ✨
