Say a prayer of gratitude today. As we complain of the traffic, smoke and smell. Men and women are laying it on the line from our county to surrounding counties as well as long distant counties. We have it great sitting in line for the 3rd light trying to get to the next place. As you look at the smoke, be thankful...

Naples FL is grateful to the many community fire fighters, EMS and other emergency personal that are in this battle. To the other counties that have came to help out. We pray that all remain safe while fighting to protect us from this fire as it spreads. Today is the 1st day the winds have calmed down. I cannot say enough of the courage, dedication and commitment these men and women have. For them it's more then just a job.

God Bless Our Military

I've seen many post of family that has served in the armed forces. I'm so proud of all my friends, family and others that posted today. As I end the day I share one of my uncles that served in Vietnam. He passed from the cancer caused by the Agent Orange that was sprayed. He was a dozer operator that went in and cleared the path for others. I've seen photos of the dozers plated for protection from gunfire. I miss him today. He was more like a brother then a uncle.
