Healing looks different for everyone. Sometimes it's a walk outside. Sometimes it's time with people who care about you. And sometimes, it's picking up a marker and making something just for you.

United Arts Collier brought art supplies to Naples Comprehensive Health - NCH so patients, families, and staff could design their own cards around a simple prompt: things we do to make ourselves better.

The results? Honest, colorful, and full of heart.

United Arts Collier is excited to announce a $25,000 grant award from Suncoast Credit Union Foundation to grow our Arts & Health Initiative, made possible by Suncoast Credit Union.

This gift will provide clinical art therapy and non-clinical therapeutic arts programs to more than 500 youth across Collier County, including Immokalee, Golden Gate, and Everglades City, in partnership with the David Lawrence Centers, Naples Comprehensive Health - NCH, Collier County Public Library, Youth Haven, and other local organizations.

"The arts are one of the most powerful tools we have for supporting youth mental health and emotional well-being, and this gift from the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation makes that work possible in communities across Collier County that need it most," said UAC CEO Elysia Dawn.

Thanks to WGCU Public Media for shining a light on "Through the Light of the Estuary" a collaborative exhibition at the Friends of Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center through Oct. 29! This mixed media exhibition features 18 works by 11 UAC artists selected by guest juror Dianne Bras-Feliciano of the Baker Museum at Artis—Naples. The exhibition’s theme invites artists and viewers to explore the transformative interplay of light as it moves through water, foliage, and atmosphere—capturing the subtle brilliance that defines the rhythms of Rookery Bay’s coastal environment. Each work offers a distinct perspective, reflecting on the beauty, complexity, and fragility of the estuary.

Join us for the closing reception from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Oct. 15, featuring a special collaborative performance Grand Piano Series Inc. of Debussy’s Reflets dans l'eau ("Reflections in the Water") by acclaimed pianist Konstantin Soukhovetski, extending the exhibition's exploration of light into sound in an unforgettable evening.
