Legal Aid in the Community: Legal Aid staff participated in Habitat for Humanity's first annual Free Family Resource Day on Saturday, February 28, at Habitat's newest development in Immokalee. During the event, Legal Aid assisted residents by sharing information about the organization's free legal services and community resources. Attendees also received Legal Aid informational materials, business cards, pens, and tote bags.

My name is Idania Gomez, and I am grateful to serve as the new Pro Bono Coordinator for Legal Aid Service of Collier County. As a recent law graduate of Ave Maria School of Law, I am excited to begin my legal career in a role that allows me to connect attorneys with meaningful opportunities to serve our community.

I look forward to working with members of the Collier County Bar Association and attorneys throughout the county who are committed to making a difference through pro-bono service. Whether you have volunteered with Legal Aid in the past or are considering accepting your first pro bono case, I hope to be a resource and point of contact as we work together to expand access to for those in need.

Thank you for your commitment to serving our community, and I hope to have the opportunity to work with many of you in the months ahead.
