Resignation as President of Golden Gate American Little League
To the GGA Board, Families, Coaches, Volunteers, and Players,
After more than four years of having the privilege of serving as President of Golden Gate American Little League, I have made the incredibly difficult decision to step down from my position.
Putting this into words is harder than I ever imagined it would be.
For more than four years, GGA has been such a huge part of my life. What started as a desire to help our league and our kids became so much more. Together, we built something special. We grew this league, strengthened our baseball community, created opportunities for hundreds of kids, celebrated championships, worked through challenges, and made memories that I know I will carry with me forever.
I am incredibly proud of where GGA is today. But what I am most proud of isn’t a championship banner, a tournament win, or the number of teams we’ve put on the field. It’s the community we’ve built around these kids.
I’ve watched players grow from little T-Ballers into young men. I’ve watched friendships form between families, coaches step up when we needed them most, volunteers give countless hours of their time, and our community rally around our players. I’ve watched our kids experience some of their greatest victories and some of their toughest losses—and I’ve been fortunate enough to have a front-row seat for all of it.
Being President has not always been easy. There have been long days, late nights, difficult conversations, tough decisions, endless texts and phone calls, field issues, schedules, tournaments, All-Stars, and plenty of moments that tested me. But even through the difficult times, I never lost sight of why we were doing it: for the kids.
Every decision I made as President may not have made everyone happy, but I can say with confidence that I always tried to make the decision I believed was best for GGA and for the children we serve.
To our Board members, past and present—thank you for standing beside me and helping carry the weight of running this league.
To our coaches and volunteers—thank you for giving your time, energy, and hearts to our kids. Little League simply does not exist without people willing to step up.
To our parents and families—thank you for trusting us with your children and for supporting GGA year after year.
And most importantly, to every player who has worn GGA across their chest during my time as President—thank you. You are the reason for all of it. Watching you grow, compete, make friendships, represent our league, and fall in love with this game has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.
I also owe an enormous thank you to my own family. Being President of a Little League requires sacrifices that most people never see. There were countless evenings, weekends, phone calls, meetings, and hours spent at the fields when my attention was divided. Thank you for allowing me to give so much of myself to something that became so important to me.
This chapter may be coming to an end for me, but I will always be proud to be part of the GGA family.
I hope the next generation of leadership continues to build on what we have created while remembering what makes this league special. Protect the kids. Support the volunteers. Respect the game. Keep building the community. And never forget that every decision should ultimately come back to the reason we are all here—the kids.
Four-plus years ago, I could never have imagined what this journey would become. There have been highs, lows, laughter, tears, championships, heartbreaks, friendships, and memories that will last a lifetime.
I leave this position with a full heart and an incredible amount of pride.
We built something special. Take care of it. Keep building it. And most importantly, keep doing it for the kids.
Thank you for trusting me to lead Golden Gate American Little League for the past four-plus years. It has truly been an honor.
