Dear Skip & Bikes for Tykes team,



On behalf of the Golden Gate Elementary School community, I want to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous donation of bicycles for our students. Your gift has made an extraordinary impact on these children, many of whom have never had a bike of their own.



The bikes have been a tremendous source of motivation and encouragement for our students. Used as rewards for academic effort and growth, they have inspired our students to set goals, work hard, and take pride in their achievements. The joy and excitement on their faces is something we will never forget.



Your support goes far beyond providing bicycles; you have helped create meaningful moments of confidence, celebration, and possibility for our students. The positive effect on our school culture has been profound, and we are deeply grateful for your commitment to our children and our mission.

Bikes for Tykes Replaces 105-Year-Old Veteran’s Stolen Trike with a Brand-New Ride

When a 105-year-old World War II veteran had his adult tricycle stolen, the local community was both outraged and moved to help. The non-profit organization Bikes for Tykes, known for providing bicycles to children and those in need, teamed up with the Lee County Sheriff’s Department to make things right. After hearing the veteran’s story, the group quickly mobilized its resources and surprised him with a brand-new adult tricycle—restoring not just his wheels, but also a sense of joy and independence, all on his birthday!
