This week, we want to recognize Ron and Glen, our faithful Friday Food Pantry Pick Up Volunteers. These two are just absolute rockstars - rain or shine, they faithfully show up to pick up food donations from Whole Foods and St Matthews House. But they don't just drive the van, they load and unload all of the donations, too!

They're always up for the task and they don't let anything stop them from making sure that we have enough food to distribute to those in need.

We are so incredibly grateful for their help and we wanted to take a moment to publicly acknowledge just how amazing they are. Thank you Ron and Glen for all that you do - you're making a real difference in our community!

Our signs are finally back up! Hurricane Ian knocked down and damaged our building signs in September 2022. This gentleman showed up last week and kindly offered to put them back up for us, free of charge. We want to thank Alvarez Signs for donating their time and expertise to Helps Outreach.

Dear community,

We are disappointed to see that several donations were dumped at the front door, disregarding our "closed for Easter" signs and trampling over our new landscaping. While we appreciate the generosity, we kindly ask that everyone respect our hours of operation and our property.

We do not like to share posts like this, but it's important to understand the impact of actions like these. We strive to ensure that all donations go directly to those who need them, and this kind of disregard makes that goal difficult to achieve.

We appreciate the support and generosity of our community, but we ask that everyone please follow our guidelines to ensure that we can continue to serve those in need.

This note was on a donation box that came in today, it says "Jesus Loves You". It's a beautiful reminder of the unity we share as Christians, even with strangers. We may come from different walks of life, but at the core, we are all on the same team - the team of love, compassion, and kindness. ❤️

As Christians, we're called to love and serve others, and giving is one powerful way we can do that. Even if you don't have much to give, remember that your generosity still matters in God's eyes. In fact, in Mark 12:41-44, Jesus praises the widow who gave just two small coins, because she gave everything she had. So don't underestimate the power of your giving, no matter how small it may seem. Every act of kindness and generosity can make a big impact in the world and in the lives of those around us.

This week, we want to highlight two of our amazing volunteers, Dan and Pat, who have been helping us collect food donations. Rain or shine, they show up with smiles on their faces ready to drive Francine to Whole Foods Market and Publix every Thursday!

Their dedication and hard work have been invaluable to our mission here at Helps Outreach and we are so grateful to have them as part of our volunteer family.

Thank you, Dan and Pat, for your continued support and for being a shining example of what it means to be a volunteer. Your contributions are making a real difference in the lives of many, and we appreciate all that you do!

Philippians 4:7 reminds us that when we turn to God in prayer, He can give us peace that goes beyond our understanding. It's a peace that guards our hearts and minds against the chaos of the world around us.

So if you're feeling anxious or overwhelmed today, take a moment to pray and ask God for His peace. Be encouraged knowing that He has everything under control and that His peace will carry you through any situation.
