ATTENTION: WE HAVE A GATOR SIGHTING!!

Well not really but I found an old picture of our friend Gator! We were actually able to catch up on the phone last week. Gator is keeping his distance due to the COVID concerns, but he misses being around the stations. Of course he really misses talking with his Brothers and Sisters at the department.

He is still working out and is happy that he has managed to gain some more weight. We always laugh at how many times we started a diet or workout program at Station 44 to keep the weight off and now he is excited when he gains weight!!

We are all looking forward to the day when everyone can come back to our stations. Until then reach out to Gator, I’m sure he would love to talk!

Long overdue update:

Finally got to talk with my old friend Gator yesterday! He had sent me a text reminding me that it had been one year since his operation. Hard to believe!! He has continued to work hard getting his strength back and is excited he has gained 20lbs. We both laughed at how we use to complain that we had to lose 20lbs.

He is very excited that on his last test results, the doctor relayed that there was “no evidence of disease”!! We both agreed that was fancy medical talk but definitely a great sign.

He continues to take long walks and cutting his grass as a way of getting back in shape to be with his brothers at the department.

Of course, as all firefighters do we ended up talking shop! Reminiscing of calls we ran together on the squad. We both could not figure out how they let the two of us alone on the squad to run calls but we had some fun times!

The picture is from the squad days at Station 44. For some reason I always felt short working at that station but at least I had no gray hair.

It was great to catch up with Gator and we are hoping this COVID stuff will be done soon so he can come back to the station and start pushing some iron around in the gym.

Thanks for everyone’s continued support and prayers that he continues on the road to full recovery!

Where has Gator gone? It seems way to long since I posted about my Brother Gator. He is still working hard to get back in shape. Most days you will find him in the fire department gym pushing some weight around!

He continues to make steady progress and still looking to return to the department he loves.

BUT today is a very special day, it his Birthday and I’m sure he would love to hear from all of you. So simply comment below and show him some love!!

Gator Update: I got to check in with Gator yesterday. He continues to get Stronger everyday.

He has so many people who are in his corner as he takes Cancer Down for the count!!!

When Gator told me he had Cancer I was stunned. I promised him that he was not alone and he has firefighters across America that would have his back.

Thanks to Rochester Fire Department Chief Scott Weigel for representing Gator all the way from Massachusetts. Rochester Fire has always been a class act and cares for their Brothers!!

Gator your Brothers are with you. Looking forward to seeing you rolling in and riding the front right seat again soon!!
