FITNESS FUN FOR EVERYONE!!

Introduce your kids to fitness through fun group yoga class they’ll love. Family Yoga is so AWESOME! In a world where parents and children are so busy, family yoga provides a wonderful place to spend healthy and happy, quality time together.

Family is so important, and time and care are needed to nurture it and make it work; yoga is perfect for this! Children, parents, and even grandparents get to enjoy practicing yoga together and strengthen their bonds while they support each other and have fun.

Family Yoga will be led by CPT, Kendra Solow, on August 19th at 11:30 AM at Naples Personal Training (1236 Airport Pulling Rd N, Naples, FL 34104).

FREE for All

Donations are greatly appreciated, all proceeds will go towards Power Kids Wellness Inc. Power Kids Wellness Inc. has partnered with Florida Personal Training to bring the local Youth of SWFL a Wellness program designed specifically for them at no cost to families.

Have fun with circuit training and games, develop skills to increase strength, balance and cardio capacity through the art of play. • Family Fitness Classes - Classes that focus on activity and play as a family. creating an in-home environment of activity and movement.

• Nutritional Guidance on the A,B,C's of Proper Nutrition - Learn the truth, about your body and how to fuel it right. Educating the youth on various aspects of maintaining healthy eating habits and how to integrate this lifestyle into their own.

• Kids in Motion Activities - Exercising doesn't have to be a chore. We introduce youth to new sports and activities. They will learn the rules, strategy of the game, and how to be a good teammate. In hopes that they will enjoy the game or activity, share with friends and play often.

Tomorrow is the day!!

We often associate the month of February with hearts because of Valentine’s Day. However, there’s another reason we should think about hearts in February; it’s American Heart Month. February is designated as American Heart Month to advocate cardiovascular health and raise awareness about heart disease.

Please join us for a 1.3 mile Healthy Heart Walk around Baker Park (50 Riverside Circle, Naples, Florida 34102) on Saturday, February 25th at 9:30AM.  We will meet on the lawn east of the Eva Sugden Gomez Building.

All donations will go towards Power Kids Wellness, a 501c3 nonprofit organization that provide youth the opportunity to learn how to create and sustain a healthy lifestyle. PKW promotes physical fitness and nutritional education in a safe and fun environment, equipping the youth of SWFL with the tools they need for a life-long healthy lifestyle.

All are welcome.  We hope to see you there!

Program is free to families thanks to the generous donation of Power Kids Wellness.  The next four week session of youth fitness begins Tuesday, February 7th.   

Teen Fitness classes are held at Naples Personal Training on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30pm.  

Tween Fitness classes are held at Florida Personal Training on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30pm.

As many of you know, two of my passions are fitness and coaching youth. With two children of my own I understand that developing good dietary and exercise habits in our youth is essential. Studies have shown that kids who consume more nutrient dense food and are active 40-60 minutes daily are less likely to develop chronic preventive diseases such as diabetes and heart disease in adulthood.

With that in mind, we have created Power Kids Wellness Inc. A 501c3 nonprofit organization that provide youth the opportunity to learn how to create and sustain a healthy lifestyle. Our program promotes physical fitness and nutritional education in a safe and fun environment. Our program encourages kids to be physically active everyday and eat a balanced diet, while eliminating poor food choices. The focus is on the benefits of proper nutrition and exercise for life. We work to equip the youth with the tools they need for a life-long healthy lifestyle.

We are so excited to announce that we have teamed up with California Pizza Kitchen for a FUNdraiser benefiting Power Kids Wellness on November 30th.  Power Kids Wellness is able to offer FREE youth fitness classes and family fitness classes to individuals and families thanks to the generous support and donations of individuals in our community.  With your support, we can continue to provide youth the opportunity to learn about physical fitness, nutrition, and living a healthy lifestyle.  

Through this FUNdraiser, California Pizza Kitchen will donate 20% of the proceeds from all dine-in, takeout, and curbside pick up purchases on November 30th to PKW.  All you have to do is tell them you're supporting Power Kids Wellness!  We don't always give a hall pass for pizza but we'll let this one slide.. we hope you can make it next week!

Has your son or daughter done any type of strength training/ fitness classes within a gym environment before, maybe with their school or outside of school? Do you worry about whether they are safe or getting sound guidance?

Do they participate in any sports they perhaps want to be fitter, stronger or more skilled for?

Or are they asking to go to the gym or fitness classes with their friends, where you worry about their safety, sound guidance, safe exercise selection, the coercive behavior of others, unhealthy influences & generally feel concerned about them in an environment that can be not only daunting but also promote unhealthy mindsets, body types and exercises?

We can't blame you... there are many cowboys out there.

What we do at Power Kids Wellness involves a variety of different training methods, so your child has the opportunity to learn how to lift safely and choose the best exercise and training regime for their goals, while also increasing their fitness level. They will be taught about sound nutrition and negative fitness influences and fads to avoid. This will allow them to become a well-rounded individual.

Each session includes a variety of bodyweight & fundamental strength exercises. We train movements not simply exercises, and everyone earns the level of exercise they do - that is, they must be strong enough, have sound body movement technique and have the neurological ability to do a movement safely.  

These movements covered will include both bodyweight and weighted (if ready), knee dominant movements like squats, hip hinge movements like deadlifts, push/pull movements such as rows and pressing or pushups etc, as well as metabolic conditioning and agility.

Your child will also learn the importance of sound warm-ups and recovery.

Each daily session will have a different skill that we will focus on for that day within a fun and safe environment.

Fitness Tip of the Week!

Get active! Fit in physical activity where you can in your day, whether taking a family walk after dinner or hitting the gym. Remember, children and teens should get 60 or more minutes of physical activity per day, and adults should get two and half hours per week.

Another day, another Youth Fitness session smashed with our coach Kevin

They’ve come a long way since the beginning, especially with their stability in exercises. Can’t wait to see how much better they get!!

We’re focusing on at the moment is “standing & sitting up straight” in our exercise so help with:
✅Posture and Slouching
Doing some exercises for the upper back to help pull all those muscles together and strengthen them so they don’t have the need to.

✅Joint health and Core stability.

It’s never to early to take care of your body so doing movements like planks for upper body strength and core stability.
