Happy March Madness!

We are happy to host a NCAA Bracket Challenge for the Jon Denzer Bear Hug Foundation. Invite your family and friends to join us in the 6th annual JDBHF Bracket Challenge. It's a great way to enjoy March Madness while raising funds for a great cause. To date the Jon Denzer Bear Hug has awarded more than $263,000 to 224 individuals, which includes over $63,000 in grants to individuals with epilepsy.

We have the same rules as last year. Minimum $25 entry, although we welcome any other donation. Brackets should go live after the bracket announcement at 6:00pm Eastern/5:00pm Central Time. The link to our contest is below:

Josh Provides is a wonderful organization that helps those living with Epilepsy!

January 26th is 1 in 26 Day, when we recognize the 1 in 26 people who will be diagnosed with epilepsy.

Did you know that 1 in 10 people will have a seizure in their lifetime?
Usually if a person has a second seizure, that person is then diagnosed with epilepsy.

Those are some pretty powerful statistics, and a reminder that the mission of JoshProvides is to improve the lives of people with and affected by epilepsy and other seizure disorders.

One of the ways we do that is to raise awareness by educating people about epilepsy!

We are thrilled to advise that Corinne Brown has joined our Board of Directors! We are so excited to have Corinne join us in helping young adults live a full and independent life. Her experience and contacts are going to be helpful in reaching even more young adults starting their life’s journey. Join me in welcoming Corinne to the Jon Denzer Bear Hug Foundation!

Corinne is the Associate Dean for Agricultural and Industrial Technologies at Illinois Central College in East Peoria, IL. She has been with ICC since 2012 and began serving at Associate Dean in January 2024. Corinne holds her both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

Corrine is passionate about helping students discover meaningful career paths in the trades and industries that keep communities thriving. Through her work at ICC, she partners with local industry leaders to create pathways for students pursuing careers in agriculture, manufacturing, construction management, welding, HVAC, CNC machine tooling and more.

Tarryn is a Senior Recruiting manger/Talent Acquisition at Chewy. She is a graduate of Northeastern University with Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She has spent the past decade in the recruiting industry, guiding individuals toward meaningful and fulfilling career opportunities. Tarryn is a dedicated community volunteer, having served for four years as a cheerleading coach, where she fostered teamwork, confidence and leadership in young athletes. A close friend of the Denzer family, Tarryn is passionate about giving back and is honored to support the mission of improving the lives of young adults and especially those living epilepsy.
