Our Post has been working hard behind the scenes on our White Star Family Recognition. If you’re not familiar with White Star Families, they are the families of Veterans, Active-Duty Service Members, and First Responders who have lost their battle with su***de.
Recognizing these families is just the first step in making sure they feel seen, supported, and reminded that they will always have people standing behind them.
We are incredibly grateful to Paul Hinderlong for helping us with this proclamation. On September 15th, the City of Naperville officially recognized White Star Families. A special thank-you to Mayor Scott Wehrlifor his support, as well as to all of the City Council members who helped make this recognition possible.
This is just a small step on the road ahead, but it is an important one as we continue working to recognize, support, and stand beside these families.
