Seven years.

It's hard to believe how much life has happened since we lost you, Justin. So many moments, so many milestones, and so many people who have become part of our lives that you never had the chance to meet, but who know you through the stories we continue to share.

Next week, we'll celebrate one of the biggest milestones yet: Jason's wedding. It will be a beautiful day, but there will always be a place where he should be with us.

Seven years later, we don't miss him any less. We just carry him with us in a different way.
We love you. We miss you. Always & forever our beautiful Angel. 💜

Hey Jwegstrong family,

Please help us welcome our newest recipient! The 2026 NCHS Strongest Redhawk Award winner is Malia Shen.

Malia truly spread her wings from the very first day she stepped onto campus at NCHS. She played varsity soccer all four years, joined the inaugural girls flag football team and earned All-State honors, and was involved in adaptive PE, a NCHS Rowdie, and the Principal's Advisory Committee, just to name a few.
Wow!!

Malia believes that being a strong Redhawk means stepping outside your comfort zone to make memories and grow.

This summer, you might find Malia at Windy City Smokeout enjoying country music. In the fall, she will attend the University of Vermont to study nursing, no doubt she will be an incredible nurse.

Our 2026 Humble & Kind Baseball Leadership recipient is Ashton Feldott!

As the catcher for NCHS, Ashton leads with heart. He’s sincere, selfless, and always putting his teammates first, wanting nothing more than to see everyone around him succeed.

Off the field, you’ll find him enjoying pickleball and golf with friends, or listening to Bruno Mars. He’s competitive, driven, and a true athlete through and through.

Just like Justin, Ashton represents what it means to lead with kindness, strength, and humility. 💜

We will be recognizing the 2016 College World Series team on April 25-26th.

Members of the 2016 College World Series team will be recognized in between each of the double headers. Following Saturday’s doubleheader, there will be a social for players and their family members sponsored by in the Warhawk Clubhouse. Complementary food and beverage will be provided.

Today you would have been 29, the last birthday in the decade we lost you, and the last decade we were lucky enough to know you in.

This one feels heavier somehow. Maybe because with every year that passes, imagining who you would be today, feels a little farther from the reality we once shared. And still, we wonder it every single year.

We love you, Justin. We miss you every day.
