Naperville Sunrise Rotary Hosts Trivia Quiz Night to Benefit Kenyan Orphanage and School
Naperville, IL-The Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise will host Quiz Night for a Cause, a trivia night, Thursday, May 18 at Hotel Indigo in Downtown Naperville, to help raise funds for school equipment and supplies for Cheryl’s Children’s Home and School in Nairobi, Kenya.
The event will include Cocktails at Plank Bar & Kitchen and Spring Bar Bites donated by Elements at Water Street. Teams of 6-8 people can compete for audacious bragging rights and useless awards. Bring your own team or arrive to be paired with others for fun and friendly competition. The evening will also include a Choose Your Own Raffle and the ability to purchase highly sought-after mulligans. Seating is limited!
The evening will open with a brief presentation by IdaLynn Wenhold, Executive Director of 4:13, Inc. a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting children in emerging nations who struggle with the effects of poverty. Wenhold has been a champion of Cheryl’s Home and School for several years, helping to raise funds for student sponsorships as well as a new school and residence facility.
“We are excited and honored to once again work with the Sunrise Rotary to bring hope and healing to the children of Cheryl’s Children’s Home & School in Nairobi, Kenya, “ says Wenhold. “The donations from “Quiz Night for a Cause” will support the education of orphaned children rescued from abuse and abandonment.” Cheryl’s Children’s Home & School is currently building a new home and school facility in Nairobi.
Raffle items include a Water Street Naperville package including a Hotel Indigo stay, restaurant gift certificates to Water Street restaurants and shops and restaurant swag; wine collections from Water Street restaurants; wine selections from Sunrise Rotary members; an opportunity to join home chefs to prepare and enjoy a 3-course French Dinner and a selection of goodies direct from Tuscany.
