Another great article in The Naperville Sun about the exciting new milestone in our Nourish Together campaign! 💚

The purchase of our new 10,000-square-foot building adjacent to our Naperville Market will give us the space we need to grow services that go beyond food, helping families navigate challenges related to physical health, financial stability, employment, and mental health.

The new space will provide room for CARES staff and volunteers to expand programming, meet with families, build connections, and create new opportunities for people working toward greater stability. It will allow us to bring more resources together under one roof and, most importantly, serve more families with the personalized support they need to move forward.

The building next to Loaves & Fishes Naperville Market will be the home of its CARES programs, which help people beyond food issues.

🥳 Last night, our CARES volunteer family gathered in our new space to celebrate a major milestone!

Loaves & Fishes has purchased a 10,000-square-foot building adjacent to our Naperville Market, creating dedicated space to expand our CARES Programs and provide more personalized support to families across our region.

The new facility will offer greater privacy for client consultations, expanded programming space, and additional room for our team—all while adding parking for clients, volunteers, and staff.

This milestone was made possible by the generosity of donors and partners supporting Loaves & Fishes’ current Nourish Together Campaign, a $15 million campaign launched publicly in 2026 to transform healthy food access and expand programs that help families move from hunger toward self-sufficiency.

Together with the expansion of our Aurora Food Distribution Hub, we’re building the capacity to serve more families—not just today, but for years to come.

🚗 A car can change everything.

For a family of seven, a reliable vehicle means so much more than transportation. It means getting to work, getting the kids to school, making it to doctor’s appointments, and having the freedom to move forward together.

Before receiving their car through our Car Donation Program, this family often relied on volunteers and neighbors for rides or walked, sometimes carrying their young children for 30 minutes even in snow, rain, and extreme heat.

Today, they have a different kind of freedom.

In their own words:

“Now, with this car, we no longer have to walk to the doctor, work, or school in the snow, rain, and hot sun. We are so happy and relieved. Thank you so much for understanding our struggles.”

This is what a donated car can do: open doors, ease burdens, and help a family take the next step toward a brighter future.

Loaves & Fishes gladly accepts donations of fresh garden vegetables and herbs to help stock our Grocery Market with nutritious, locally grown produce.

Every tomato, zucchini, cucumber, pepper, and bunch of herbs helps nourish neighbors facing food insecurity. Together, we can make sure fresh food doesn't go to waste—and reaches families who need it most.
