Hi Scout Families!

Your Cubmaster David and I have some exciting news!

Our already small pack is once again even smaller since we lost our 5th graders to middle school and a couple other kids to a west-coast move. Therefore, we’ve decided that this is the year that we’re going to blend our pack with another larger pack and they’re excited to receive us! We’ve spoken to Jim, Brian and Leilani of Pack 887. They seem to be well established with lots of parental volunteers, and we can't wait to see what our remaining Scouts will do in the next few years!

Pack 887 will be having a parent meeting on September 3rd, at 7:00pm, at Wheatland Salem Church, 1852 95th Street, in Naperville.

We will be there, and are very hopeful that you will join us!

The leaders said that the information will be boring for kids, but that they will have a few lawn games out for any kids that need to attend with their parents, so don’t hesitate.

If for some reason any of you feel that Wheatland Salem Church on 95th Street is further than you’d like to travel for meetings, we have another great option for you which is Pack 643. Jeremy Ginsberg, who is Unit Commissioner for the Chippewa District and has helped our pack a lot, leads this group and he would be more than happy to answer any questions you have. Short notice, but they are having a pack meeting tonight if anyone wants to attend: Aug 23 - August Pack Meeting 7pm @ Faith Lutheran Church (3000 Liberty St, Aurora)

We'd love to keep everyone from the Pack together, but it is ultimately your family's choice.

The biggest impacts of this move are that our meeting place will change and we'll have a lot more organization and options for activities for the Scouts. Basically, more fun! Regular dues to the district (what you pay now) will be the same but there is a chance they could have a pack dues depending on the pack budget and their fundraising. This would be addressed at the Parent meeting(s).

Hi Pack Families! We hope you’ve had an incredible summer and are gearing up for an exciting year!

It seems like maybe this info came a little late this year because we hadn’t heard anything about it until a couple of days ago, but the Three Fires Council is having a Luau at Cypress Cove for all Scout and their families THIS FRIDAY. You may remember that David and I took our kids last year and we had a blast. If you don’t have plans, I highly recommend trying to make it.

Our Blue and Gold Celebration, Awards, and Crossover Ceremony. Thank you so much to everyone who attended, and extra thanks to those of you who loaned us tables and chairs and shared photos.

We missed Nicholas, Esuna, and our long lost Kira & Emma.

2908 Portsmith Court, just south of White Eagle.
(Feel free to park in the center of the cul-de-sac.)

Please wear uniforms, and let us know if something comes up and you can’t make it. Dinner will be served.

Hi Pack Families!

We’ve been talking a lot about our Blue and Gold Celebration and Crossing Over Ceremony for our kids that are moving on to middle school. We had mentioned doing it this Friday evening in lieu of a pack meeting, but we’re concerned because it seemed like so few families were going to be able to make it. We know this time of year is nearly impossible, so we thought we’d check in and see if any early summer dates might be better, so we can celebrate with as many families as possible. Could you please let us know which dates you could and could not make from the list below?

(This will most likely be an easy 1-2 hour party in our backyard, in the early evening hours, in case that helps you decide.)
