Alhamdulillah, our Tarbiyya Beyond Rules workshop with Sh. Mahdi Chawla was a meaningful and engaging session for our community. The Sheikh delivered a powerful talk on building faith, character, and connection, offering practical insights for parents navigating today’s challenges.

Today, on the International Day of Al Quds, more than a thousand people gathered in Chicago to stand in solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine and to call for its liberation from Zionist occupation.

The march began at the Israeli Consulate and continued to the Daley Center, where participants also called for an immediate end to the war on Iran and demanded that the aggression against Lebanon be stopped.

The Al Quds March was organized by People United Against Oppression and joined by various anti-war and Palestinian organizations, reflecting a strong and growing call for justice and solidarity with the oppressed.

Event Summary: Seed of Solidarity – F***j Institute

F***j Institute hosted the third Annual Seed of Solidarity event today, bringing together community members and faith leaders to discuss justice and the oppression faced by the Palestinian people.

The panel featured Sayyid Adel Makke, Rabbi Feldman of Neturei Karta, and Br. Baker Qurt of Al Nahda Center (Palestinian) highlighting the importance of unity across faiths in standing against oppression.

Speakers also addressed the ongoing war against Iran and the continued escalation against the Palestinian people, emphasizing the need for global awareness and principled solidarity during these critical times. Recent regional tensions have intensified following coordinated U.S.–Israeli strikes on Iran and widening conflict across the Middle East.

The discussion emphasized that solidarity and truth can challenge and defeat the narratives of Zionism. The program concluded with an engaging Q&A session with the audience.

Join us tomorrow as we stand in solidarity with Palestine and call for justice and an end to aggression against the people of Palestine, Iran, and Lebanon.

Friday prayers will take place at 1:00 PM.
A bus will depart from F***j Institute at 2:00 PM for those attending the march.

The march will begin at 4:00 PM at the Consulate General of Israel, 500 W. Madison St., Chicago.

Post-Event Update: Road to Ramadan Workshop | F***j Institute

Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah (SWT), our Level Up Your Ramadan: Road to Ramadan Workshop was a great success with an overwhelmingly positive response and strong community turnout.

The evening began after Jamaat Salat with a powerful and insightful presentation by H.I. Syed Abbas Ayleya, covering the purpose of fasting, fasting through history, the three levels of fasting, key fiqhi rulings, and the unique reward of fasting. The session helped attendees prepare spiritually and practically for the blessed month ahead.

The program concluded with an engaging Q&A, followed by refreshments and community connection.

We pray Allah Azzawajal grants us the ability to act upon what we learned and enter Ramadan in the best spiritual state. Ameen.
