We are a nonprofit that promotes equality for children with genetic disorders and special needs. It's okay to be different! How can we help?

Loving Luca Foundation (LLF) is a 501(c)(3) organization that was founded based on a sweet boy named Luca! He was born with Partial Trisomy 13 and was later diagnosed with Epilepsy and Autism. Luca is now 8 years old and is doing so many things that doctors weren't sure he would ever be able to do. We hope that Luca can be an inspiration for families that are in similar situations. Foundation is committed to providing support and inclusion to all unique children and their families. We are partnered with 3 hospitals in Chicago and work closely with their Genetics Departments to help to supply comfort totes to all newly diagnosed children. We offer giveaways for things such as adaptive footwear annually, host events for our special families and also contribute to funding for research for genetic disorders. 🎉 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝟏𝟐𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐋𝐮𝐜𝐚! 🎉

Luca has spent 12 years teaching us about love, laughter, courage and that apparently PB&J is the perfect meal for any occasion. 🥜 His smile lights up the room, his laughter is contagious and he really shows everyone how to appreciate the simple things in life.

As we celebrate Luca today, we also celebrate every unique child and every family on this journey. I can only hope we continue to create a world where everyone has a place to belong.

🌊 Last-Minute Swim Party Invitation! 💙

Tonight is the Loving Luca Foundation’s Annual Swim Party at Pelican Harbor in Bolingbrook!

We’ve had a few cancellations due to the less-than-perfect weather, so if your evening has opened up, we’d love to have you join us! The venue is already reserved and paid for, so we’d love to fill those spots with families who can make it. Luca’s dad wrote a children’s book!👏🏼 📕

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙙 𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 is a story about Luca the lemur and how he learns to communicate without words as he journeys through nature. It was created to bring joy and connection to children and families 🫶🏻

This book is more than just any other book though! It is a way to honor Luca, spread love, and help make a difference. Proceeds go directly to the Loving Luca Foundation!

Our latest drop off of Comfort Totes to Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago was hand delivered by Luca himself!

These totes are provided to parents of babies and children newly diagnosed with genetic disorders, offering comfort and support during an unexpected journey.

Every family deserves to know they are not alone. 💜 🧬
