As the academic year gets underway, new NVC President Dr. Gayle Pitman shares a vision focused on strengthening the student experience, deepening community connections and preparing students to become engaged leaders. The NVC Foundation is excited to support that vision!

Among those welcoming Dr. Pitman at Fall Flex Days was ASNVC President Neptali Lona, an NVC Foundation scholarship recipient and a wonderful example of student leadership in action.

Students also began moving into River Trail Village this week, where Foundation-funded housing awards are helping make on-campus housing more accessible.

We’re proud to support NVC students and excited for the chapter ahead!

Affordable housing can make all the difference for a student pursuing a college education.

The Napa Valley College Foundation Board of Directors has approved 36 housing awards totaling $163,000 for students living at River Trail Village during the 2026–27 academic year.

These awards will help reduce financial barriers by providing housing assistance to students with demonstrated financial need, including priority support for foster youth and students experiencing or transitioning out of homelessness.

Applications will open before the start of the fall semester, with additional information to be shared in the coming weeks.

We are grateful to our generous donors for making opportunities like these possible and helping more Napa Valley College students thrive.

A week of stories, inspiration, and lifelong learning begins today.

The Napa Valley Writers’ Conference is underway at Napa Valley College, bringing nationally acclaimed poets, novelists, and literary voices to our community through July 31.

Join us tonight for One Book Napa, featuring author Michelle Huneven discussing her new novel, Bug Hollow, at the Napa County Public Library. Throughout the week, the community is also invited to enjoy public readings, craft talks, and free writing workshops.

The Napa Valley College Foundation is proud to support this longstanding tradition alongside Napa Valley College’s District Auxiliary Services (DAS) and generous donors who help make these enriching community experiences possible.

The Wine Education Complex is coming to life at Napa Valley College.

Earlier this month, the College welcomed the 47th Annual Society of Wine Educators Conference, bringing wine educators and industry professionals from across the country to campus.

From national conferences to professional training, educational tastings, and student learning, the new facilities are becoming a hub for wine education and industry collaboration in Napa Valley.

None of this would be possible without the generous donors who helped make the Wine Education Complex a reality. Thank you for investing in our students and the future of wine education at Napa Valley College.

The Napa Valley College Foundation was pleased to join the College in welcoming Dr. Gayle Pitman at a reception celebrating her second week as Napa Valley College’s Superintendent/President.

We are excited to partner with Dr. Pitman as we continue investing in student success, engaging our community, and advancing initiatives that will create lasting opportunities for Napa Valley College students.

WE DID IT!!! 🎉🧡

Together, we raised $18,000 through George + Kin’s gift card sales to fully fund the Charlie Manahan Career Education Scholarship at the Napa Valley College.

This scholarship is in perpetuity. Every year a student studying career education will receive monetary benefits to support their schooling.

What an incredible community. Thank you for helping us create opportunities for students for years to come 🧡

A special thank you to the Native Sons & Sunrise Rotary for their generous donation, leading us to end goal!!

One day left to give.

Ashley and Andres each faced obstacles while pursuing their education at Napa Valley College. With support from the Napa Valley College Foundation, they stayed on course and achieved their goals.

Today, Ashley is continuing her education on a full-ride scholarship, and Andres is returning to Napa Valley College to give back to the community that helped launch his journey.

Student success comes full circle.

Just one year after graduating from Napa Valley College and transferring to UCLA, Andres Barrera is returning to campus this summer as co-founder of Teatro Alebrijes del Valle.

While a student, Andres received a housing award through the Napa Valley College Foundation that helped him overcome a financial barrier and continue his education. Today, he’s giving back to the community that helped launch his journey.

Stories like Andres’ reflect the vision for student success that Dr. Torence Powell championed throughout his presidency.
