Napa Valley College and the Napa Valley College Foundation were proud to celebrate the opening of the Donna Altes Hospitality Training Center this week, completing the Wine Education Complex and expanding hands-on learning opportunities for students pursuing careers in hospitality, wine, culinary arts, and tourism.

Thank you to the many supporters, partners, faculty, students, and community members who helped make this milestone possible.

We’re getting ready...

Signage is being installed and final touches are being made on the Donna Altes Hospitality Training Center in preparation for next week’s ribbon cutting ceremony marking the completion of the second and final phase of the Wine Education Complex at Napa Valley College.

This much-anticipated facility will help prepare students for careers in hospitality, wine marketing and tourism while honoring the generosity of Donna Altes, Evelyn Allen, the Napa Valley College Foundation board and many supporters who helped bring the project to life.

The Napa Valley College Foundation is proud to celebrate the student finalists and winners of the 18th Annual Business Plan Competition, held last week with support from the Redwood Credit Union Community Fund.

This inspiring event gave Napa County high school and Napa Valley College students the opportunity to pitch innovative business ideas, receive feedback from local leaders, and compete for cash prizes supporting their entrepreneurial journeys.

Last week, the Napa Valley College Foundation celebrated students at our annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony ahead of Napa Valley College’s Commencement ceremony last Friday.

One of the evening’s most meaningful parts was seeing students, donors, faculty, and community members come together to celebrate hard work, perseverance, and opportunity.

More than a decade after first starting college, FiFi returned to Napa Valley College determined to complete her degree while raising her child.

With support from the Napa Valley College Foundation, she found encouragement, community, and the ability to continue pursuing her education.

Today, FiFi is completing her degree while helping support other students facing food insecurity by programs supported by the Foundation.

We are proud to share that the Napa Valley College Foundation Board recently approved funding through the Evelyn Allen bequest to support Adaptive Physical Education at Napa Valley College.

For many students and community members, Adaptive Physical Education provides movement, connection, and specialized instruction that can be difficult to access elsewhere. We are grateful to help support a program that means so much to so many families in our community.

Additional information regarding a potential Community Education offering is expected in the future with an intended launch in fall 2026.

Big news for Napa Valley College Foundation.

We’re grateful to The Roger J. Trinchero Family Foundation for a transformational $48,000 investment that will strengthen our ability to support students for years to come.

This funding helps us build stronger systems for scholarships, donor engagement, and long-term growth.

Special thanks to Paul Krsek, CEO of 5T Wealth and de facto Executive Director of The Roger J. Trinchero Family Foundation, whose leadership helped facilitate this investment through the partnership and support of the 5T Wealth team.
