🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️ Adding More Tools to Our EXL Superhero Tool Belts! 🛠️✨

Today was all about professional growth, reflection, and adding new tools to our toolbox! Our team spent the morning learning with a CalSAC trainer about the 9 temperament traits that impact child/youth's engagement and how understanding different temperaments can help us better connect with, support, and respond to the students we serve.

Every new strategy and perspective is another tool we can add to our EXL Superhero Tool Belt — helping us show up stronger, more intentionally, and ready to meet the unique needs of every student.

At NapaEXL, developing our staff is a priority. We believe that when we invest in our team, we strengthen the experiences we create for our students, families, and communities.

Our first full week is in the books at Northwood Elementary School!

From getting to know you activities, to PE centers, to Fun Friday Clubs, we are so excited and happy to be back to COOL School with all of our students!

We have had an amazing first week here at Shearer COOL School! 💛

We’ve loved welcoming back our returning students and meeting all of our new students. It has been so much fun seeing everyone get reacquainted with their classroom leaders, meet new classroom leaders, and settle back into the program.

Students have been enjoying a fun first week filled with getting to know one another, reconnecting with friends, and working on some fun first-week-back crafts! 🎨✂️

🌞⛳ Adventure, teamwork, and plenty of fun! Our NAPA EXL Summer Shearer COOL School middle schoolers had an incredible field trip to Skyline Wilderness Park, where they took on a challenging 9-course disc golf experience!

Students spent the day enjoying the beautiful outdoors, building their skills, encouraging one another, and making unforgettable summer memories. From impressive throws to lots of laughter along the course, this field trip was a perfect combination of recreation, teamwork, and adventure.

We are so proud of our students for embracing new experiences and making the most of every opportunity this summer. Way to go, Shearer COOL School! 💙☀️🥏

Have you heard of the National Day of Play?

The Day of play honors the critical importance of play in a child’s development, learning, and well-being, while advocating for safe, inclusive, and accessible play areas.

We were happy to participate, promote and provide some engaging and safe activities for all of our youth in the Napa EXL Summer Program.

Whether it was 9 Square, Z-Tag, or roller hockey, the kids had a blast!

🌎🐾 Our Animal Planet theme brought learning to life this week at NapaEXL Summer Program! ☀️

Students showcased their creativity through animal habitat dioramas, enjoyed daily reading time across all grade levels, and stayed active during PE centers, including the favorite game of 9 Square.

We love seeing students learn, create, read, and play all summer long! ☀️📚🏃‍♂️

All made possible by the partnership with ELOP Programs at Napa Valley Unified School District and NCOE.

They did it! Our Vichy Cool School Student Council led their first event after school, A Trash Pick Up Day! 🚮♻️

They made flyers, organized getting supplies from our custodial staff, gave instructions to staff and students, and got to work! Very proud of all our students making their campus beautiful 🤩

Wednesday ACE Silverado Middle had the privilege to take our ACE+ 8th grade girls to a nice restaurant downtown Napa, Ristorante Allegra. These students worked on an etiquette curriculum which included building self-confidence, and self-esteem. They all had a wonderful time.
Today we celebrated 6th & 7th grade promotions, and a special ACE celebration to our SMS 8th grade grads 🎓
We enjoyed good food, music, treats and a video of the years highlights.🎉👏🏽
