We’re investing $1.8 million to help Napa Valley students thrive. ❤️

This school year, thousands of Napa County students will have a place to turn when they need a little extra support.

Napa Valley Vintners has awarded $1.8 million to five local nonprofits providing counseling, peer support and other important resources through on-campus wellness centers: Mentis, Napa Valley Education Foundation, Aldea Children & Family Services, On The Move and UpValley Family Centers.

These resources are reaching students across our community. In fact, 55% of Napa County public high school students use an on-campus wellness center.

For students like Vanessa, that support can make a lasting difference. As a freshman, she was struggling academically and feeling isolated. Regular visits to her school’s wellness center helped her reconnect, build friendships, and eventually seek therapy. By senior year, she was bringing younger students into the center and sharing what the space had meant to her.

“This place saved me when I was exactly where you are.”

Since 1981, funds raised through Auction Napa Valley have helped Napa Valley’s vintner community invest in local children and families. This latest $1.8 million investment continues that commitment, with more announcements about support for Napa Valley youth coming soon.

NVV has invested $2.1 million in a more wildfire-resilient Napa County.

Keeping our community prepared for wildfire takes year-round work, strong partnerships and long-term investment.

Our latest investment is an $85,000 grant to Napafirewise for the second year of its Valley Stewards Initiative. The initiative maps water sources, emergency access roads, fuel breaks and other resources across Napa County, giving firefighters better information before an emergency happens.

Following the devastating wildfires of 2020, wildfire prevention and preparedness became a top priority for Napa Valley Vintners. Since then, we’ve worked with policymakers at the county, state and federal levels to advocate for greater government resources—efforts that helped secure $25 million for fire resiliency in our community—while NVV and our members have also invested directly in local solutions.

From emergency communications and wildfire detection to fire roads, forest restoration and today’s Valley Stewards Initiative, we’re proud to support the people and organizations working year-round to make Napa County safer and more resilient.

Take a look at how these investments are making a difference across our community.

45 years ago today, on June 21, 1981, the very first Auction Napa Valley was held (coincidentally, also on Father's Day).

Robin Lail, founding winemaker and partner at Lail Vineyards, played a pivotal role in bringing vintners together and leading the planning committee that created Auction Napa Valley.

At this year’s Live Auction at Inglenook, we presented Robin with a lifetime achievement award for her ongoing contributions to the auction and our community as a whole. Robin grew up among the vineyards of Inglenook estate, founded in 1879 by her great-grand uncle, Gustave Niebaum, it was a very full-circle moment to be receiving this honor on these grounds.

"Receiving a lifetime achievement award from the Napa Valley Vintners defies my imagination and touches my heart," Lail told the Napa Valley Register. "This is such an honor. I would say that being honored for my lifetime passion is a magnificent and treasured surprise. Having the chance to receive this award at Inglenook is the dream of a lifetime."

Thank you, Robin, for your decades of commitment to Napa Valley and for giving so much back to our community.

The spirit of Auction Napa Valley was on full display throughout this weekend, demonstrating that a shared love of Napa Valley wine can bring people together to make a lasting impact. The energy was evident at every turn as supporters showed up with genuine enthusiasm.

Through countless opportunities to contribute, guests took part in bidding, fund-a-need donations and other creative fundraising activities. The weekend's top-grossing offerings underscored the value of shared experiences and opportunities to return to Napa Valley.

Every act of generosity mattered, including donations that continued to come in even after its conclusion on Saturday night. By the weekend’s end, $6 million was raised for the Napa Valley community.

Thank you to everyone who contributed and attended, making this a beautiful, successful and memorable Auction Napa Valley 2026!
