This time of year is about giving thanks and recognizing all that we have to be grateful for.

Coming off the heels of an exciting and reflecting on the bounty of fruit that our valley provides, we are so fortunate to call this place home.

We have shared five stories with you this season, each one a reminder of how powerful our community can be when we come together. As we wrap up the series, we want to leave you with one more story that shows the lasting impact of your generosity.

When Jackie noticed her four-year-old son Thomas struggling with communication, she began to worry he might not be ready for kindergarten. A friend pointed her toward ParentsCAN, where Thomas was screened immediately and welcomed into a playgroup designed to boost his language development. Within just six weeks he was making friends and learning new skills.

Jackie summed up the experience beautifully: “I’m really grateful that ParentsCAN was here for us and for other parents like me.”

This year, Napa Valley Vintners granted $99,000 to ParentsCAN to help parents guide their children through challenges so every child can thrive. Families like Jackie’s are finding support, encouragement and new possibilities because of you.

Thank you for being a valued and important part of the Collective Napa Valley community. Together, we can give even more young people the chance to grow, learn and thrive now and for a lifetime.

For parents Lindsey and Brian, the Boys & Girls Club feels like much more than after-school care. Their children, Frank, Anderson and Amalie, come home each day brimming with confidence, curiosity and kindness, thanks in part to mentors who encourage them to dream big.

It also gives their parents a deep sense of reassurance. As Lindsey and Brian shared, “We feel immense peace of mind knowing our kids are growing in a place where they are seen, valued and supported every day.”

This year, $931,000 total was awarded to Boys & Girls Clubs of Napa Valley and The Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Helena and Calistoga to fill afternoons with learning, laughter and guidance, giving children steady support while they grow.

With your help, more children are discovering who they can become. We are grateful to have you with us and are eager to continue making a difference together.
