TNR Thursday

Sponsors/donations that add up to a full sponsorship needed. With back to back to back medical expenses I just cannot get ahead...& unfortunately, even fell behind on one of my main goals: the completion of my heart colony. We knew there were only 4 or 5 adults left to TNR, only one of which we knew for 100% certainty was a female. However, a friendly dump off to the colony ended up being a female...we know she is a female because she had 3 kittens. The other female had 5 kittens. So that brings us to an additional 8 spays/neuters that will have to take place.

Each spay/neuter/vaccinations is 50 dollars. If anyone can sponsor just one or contribute towards a sponsorship, it would be so appreciated. ❤️ (I will also be looking for placement or homes for the friendly mama & all babies when the time comes.)

URGENT...please share this post as much as possible.

We need to get Alice's eye checked out today to make sure it isn't in danger of rupturing. If you see this post, please share it & please donate even just five dollars for Five Dollar Friday.

We need to get her covered for an appointment today (invoice will be posted as always & previous invoices can be found in other "Alice" posts), & we are still trying to raise funds for the eventual day we fear is coming sooner rather than later where we have to help her cross the Rainbow Bridge.

This has been a very stressful, emotionally draining, & ultimately exhausting experience. We are trying our best to do right by Alice & spoil her rotten for her remaining days...which we know it is getting closer to having to make THAT decision. We obviously do not want her to suffer & will not allow that to happen, but we also want to give her as many happy days as possible of her getting to do all the things she loves (like laying outside in the sun).

She is currently on an antibiotic, prednisolone (steroid for inflammation), & gabapentin & bupe for pain. As long as her pain is managed, which obviously that is at all times, Alice is happy & acting normal. We know that eventually her pain won't be able to be managed, & that will ultimately be the immediate end of her story.

***In Honor of Alice's Upcoming 19th (Last 😿) Birthday***

I am just going to say it straight...sorry for being a pain in the ass. It is mentally & emotionally exhausting watching Alice every single day & wondering if this is the day we will have to make THAT decision. I have started typing up a post, end up being slammed by writer's or an emotional block, then deleting...& this has happened several times daily since the last lengthier post about Alice.

We are headed back to the vet yet again today to have her right eye looked at more thoroughly. There have been very noticeable changes to it, & we want to ensure it isn't causing her severe pain. We will not allow her to go one day past any kind of suffering. Alice is such a fighter & despite the obvious physical changes in her appearance, she is acting like her normal self.

Our short-term goal has been to help her make it to her 19th birthday this Friday. We have been doing something special for her every single day for her birthday week. If anyone can send a monetary donation in honor of Alice's upcoming 19th birthday (early five dollar Friday even) to help cover today's vet bill (appointment is at 1:30), her continued pain & infection management, & her inevitable journey over the Rainbow Bridge & cremation, we would be beyond grateful.

✨️Two Dollar Tuesday✨️

If anyone can sponsor a neuter at the clinic tomorrow, it would be greatly appreciated. Sponsorship would be ♡50. Since it is Two Dollar Tuesday...if even 25 people donated just ♡2, it would cover the sponsorship.

We are also still working on raising funds for Alice. She is still holding on strong, but there have been some noticeable changes to her facial structure. I will be doing a more detailed post on her today. Thank you so much for those that have already donated towards Alice. You have helped ensure she has meds to keep her comfortable. (I will be doing a better gratitude post as well...my mind has just been heavy & all over the place. 😭)
