Established in 1959, the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Idaho (GSPCI) is dedicated to the betterment of this sporting breed and the preservation of its natural abilities and standards. The GSPCI promotes ethical breeding and res

ponsible ownership and training, through education, competitive events, and the sport of upland game bird hunting. Camaraderie, safety, and sportsmanlike behavior exemplify the membership of the GSPCI
The club welcomes all recognized pointing breeds, provides opportunities for owners to enhance their skills, facilitates training during summer months, and conducts club and AKC/AF events throughout the year. Our GPSCI Foundation is active in our community by doing rehabilitation plantings, putting on seminars like our Sporting Dog First Aid Class, sponsoring youth hunters ed, community clean ups, sponsored youth shoots and more!

Exposure to cyanotoxins can be harmful to humans, but effects can be more serious in animals since they are more likely to drink the water, lick cyanobacteria from their fur, or eat toxic mats.

โžก๏ธCheck for current waterbodies with cyanobacteria blooms at deq.idaho.gov/habs and keep animals away from these waterbodies.

โžก๏ธDo not let your pets swim in, play in, or drink any water that looks or smells strange, like it has foam or scum on the surface. These can be signs of cyanobacteria.

โžก๏ธIf you find your pets playing in water that might have a cyanobacteria bloom, rinse them right away with soap and clean water. If your pet is experiencing symptoms, call your veterinarian.

A beautiful morning of training out in Kuna again! We only have 1 more training day, September 5th @ 7am. Great turn out and itโ€™s so wonderful to see how these dogs and their owners have progressed over the summer! Thank you to all of you members who came out and a huge thank you to all of our volunteers that come out every session and impart their wisdom and abilities.

Our club officially has a 501(c)(3)! Any donations to the fundraiser whether cash or item, we can now provide you with a receipt for a tax write-off! As you have probably seen on many of our posts, we go out and do many things as a club and for the public at no cost! We are all volunteers, even us on the board. We do it for the love of the sport, pointing breeds, and community! As always, the dinner will be a great evening of fun, food, drink, games, and amazing prizes! Get your tickets today!
