Unleash your creativity with various art media to create your own interpretation of this year’s summer reading theme: “Unearth a Story.”
Artworks will be displayed in the library, and prizes will be awarded to winners in each age category: Preschool | Ages 5-8 | Ages 9-12 | Teens | Adults | 65+.
Pick up an entry form with full contest details at the 1st Floor Info Desk or visit nampalibrary.org/summerart.
Submit your entries at the 1st Floor Info Desk starting Monday, June 1st. All submissions must be received by Saturday, July 11th.

🌟Exciting News, Nampa! 🌟
The Idaho Museum of Natural History (IMNH) is hitting the road with their incredible Mobile Museum, bringing a unique and FREE educational experience right to our community!
Step inside this specially outfitted van that serves as a traveling extension of the IMNH in Pocatello. The Mobile Museum features a walk-through exhibit that brings science to life! Explore original artifacts and exact replicas from Idaho's natural history, including a complete Idaho dinosaur skeleton (Oryctodromeus), nests, skulls, and interactive displays. Join mobile educator, Pam Pascali, for hands-on activities that are fun for all ages!
This amazing initiative is made possible through a grant from the David B. Jones Foundation, designed to reach every library district in Idaho on a rotating three-year schedule. We are thrilled to be part of this opportunity and invite everyone in Nampa to come and experience this fascinating educational adventure with us!

Here is a glimpse of all the incredible things to come this summer! Unearth a story from one of our themed displays, check out new dinosaur puzzles on the 3rd Floor, and take a photo with hand-crafted decorations around the library. It all starts this Saturday, May 30th, from 10 AM to 1 PM during the Summer Reading Kickoff! Grab your reading logs, enjoy games, and collect swag from local businesses while you’re here!

Explore books for all ages & discover the lowest prices in town—just 10 cents to $1.00! The sale includes a
variety of unique crafts, many created by the Friends of the Library and the Crochet and Knit Group.
A silent auction boasts several unique items, including some handmade ones.
All proceeds benefit the Nampa Library programs!

Check out the amazing vendors who will help celebrate the first day of summer reading at our Kick-Off Party this Saturday! FREE parking in Downtown Garage for May 30th!
Pick up a reading log, enjoy fun games, and collect swag from your favorite local businesses.
The Nampa Bicycle Project will be on-site offering complimentary fix-a-flat services. Drop off your bike, enjoy the festivities, and pick it up before you leave!
