The House Next Door We accompany and assist single mothers and their children as the mothers pursue their educational goals!

The MISSION of The House Next Door is accompany and assist single mothers and their children as the mothers pursue appropriate educational degrees, in part, by providing rent-free housing. It is our goal to help young women become successful and self-sufficient, and thereby improve the quality of life for themselves, their children, and the community. We can currently house up to 4 families at any one time. If you know of a family who might be a good fit for our program, please contact us!

We could use some help! I know some of you had asked how you can help. We created a small Amazon wish list with the most needed items right now for the house. Anything you can do to help the house right now would be GREAT. We are really trying to support the families in the house and just need some basics right now.

Meet our new Volunteer Fundraising Coordinator, Grace!

Grace comes to The House Next Door with three years nonprofit experience and an MBA in nonprofit management!

She has already hit the ground running and planning the first event (if you don't have plans on October 10th, you do now!). She is also working to connect donors and businesses to the house.

She is super excited to use her skills to further the mission of The House Next Door. In her free time she is a private chef and loves walk her little dog Max Medina!

Mothers lacking a college degree or higher education credentials face wider wage gaps, reduced access to paid family leave, and greater vulnerability to unstable work hours or childcare disruptions
Approximately 10,440 college students in the state of Idaho are single mothers.

What we do:
The House Next Door provides housing for single moms and their kids 12 and under a safe place to live rent free.

We know we can accomplish more together!
