I'd like to keep my mentor because when we meet she's like a person who understands people and doesn't judge. She has been through a lot of things in her life. She gives advice, lets me know I am not alone, and gives me lessons on life.

To my mentor: I want to thank you for showing me ways to handle situations and ways to control myself. You have shown me what being a good friend looks like.

When the kids share it leaves my heart full! This is what one of our mentees had to say...

Why would you like to continue with your mentor?: "She is nice. She listens. I feel I have someone I can talk to, someone I can actually look up to. I think she actually likes talking to me, and she listens to me, too."

What would you like to share with your mentor?: "Thank you for being there to help me throughout the school year, and for helping me have a place to talk about things I couldn't talk about with anyone else. You put a positive peace in my life."

This is one of our favorite times of the year! Gretta and I are in the process of completing year end surveys with our mentees. The love and thanks these kids have for their mentors is so heartwarming! The school staff is also sharing the positive impacts that having a mentor is making for these awesome kids! 1 hour a week truly does change lives!

Yesterday was such a special day! Donna was honored with the first ever Community Hero Award from the Nampa Chamber of Commerce. Her dedication to building relationships, strengthening community, and spreading love and kindness wherever she goes was celebrated with an amazing group of friends! We're so blessed to have Donna Price Shines as a mentor, leader, friend, and CEO! We love you, Donna! Thank you for BEing you!!!
