The West Point Society of Idaho had an outstanding Founders Day celebration this year, with 65 guests in attendance—our best turnout in recent memory. Even better, 34 of those present were USMA graduates, parents of graduates, or cadet candidates, making it a great gathering of the Long Gray Line here in Idaho. We were honored to welcome LTC Robert Craig '88 as our guest speaker and COL Mark Bieger '91, President of the Association of Graduates, who both delivered excellent remarks. A special thank you to Carson Spear and the Warhawk Air Museum for hosting us in such a great venue. Congratulations as well to Bryan Madden ’03, who took home the grand prize. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate West Point and the Long Gray Line!

Team~

We have received numerous inquiries regarding attire for Saturday’s Founders Day, so I wanted to provide a quick clarification. The dress is Idaho Business Casual, which essentially means a sports coat at most. Please see the picture below for an example of the dress standard from past events.

This is our final reminder for Founders Day this Saturday! Momentum is strong, and it’s shaping up to be one of our best celebrations in recent years. If you’ve been on the fence, it’s not too late to RSVP and join us for a great evening at the Warhawk Air Museum featuring LTC Robert Craig ’88, fellowship with classmates and friends, outstanding tri-tip from Holy Smokin BBQ, and our traditional raffle. Please review the parking map in advance and plan to use the GWOT Wing entrance along Municipal Drive, as we will not have guides posted outside. Come reconnect, strengthen the Long Gray Line here in Idaho, and help us celebrate the 224th birthday of West Point in style.

Over the Thanksgiving Break, Cadets can return home early to the Treasure Valley under the Hometown Visit (HTV) program. Their primary focus is meeting in person with competitive candidates and attending our Wednesday virtual Field Force discussions. They were also able to check in with our congressional offices in Boise. Pictured below is Cadet Greco (Meridian, '28), who spoke to the Mountain Home High School girls' basketball team.
