Papua is one of the most rugged and remote operating environments in the world. No roads connecting most villages. Terrain that makes access by foot take days. A population that depends on air travel for things the rest of us take for granted.

MAF has been flying there for decades. The work is hard. The need is real. And the people doing it will tell you it's some of the most meaningful flying they've ever done.

Keeping those flights going takes skilled people. Pilots who can handle remote and unpredictable conditions. Mechanics who can troubleshoot far from the nearest parts supplier. If that sounds like your kind of work, it might be worth a conversation.

A delivery day at Kuebunyane Christian School in Lesotho. MAF pilot Deborah Francois flew the packages in, the kind of supply run that's routine for us and a real difference for a school tucked into the highlands.

Lesotho is a landlocked, mountainous kingdom where many communities sit hours from the nearest town by road, if a road exists at all. This Cessna 206 is one of the few reliable ways in and out. It's not a large plane. But in a place like this, it doesn't need to be. It just needs to show up.
