For 114 years, Idahoans have had the right to put laws directly on the ballot when the Legislature won’t act.
Voting YES on HJR 4 would NOT legalize ma*****na or change Idaho’s drug laws. Instead, it would take away Idahoans’ right to use ballot initiatives to legalize ma*****na, giving that power exclusively to the Legislature.
HJR 4 is about more than drug policy. It’s about whether decisions on these issues should remain in voters’ hands or belong exclusively to Idaho’s 105 legislators.

What Is This Bill Really About?
HJR 4 is not about legalizing or banning anything right now.
It is about who gets to decide in the future.
If HJR 4 passes:
Voters would no longer be able to use ballot initiatives to decide these issues. Only lawmakers could make those decisions.
Why This Matters Beyond This Bill
HJR 4 is not just about substances. It sets a precedent.
Once voters accept that one subject is off-limits, the larger question becomes: Who decides which topics voters are allowed to decide at all?
