Here's Tuesdays catch. We haven't had a chance to count them yet. We had to get them out of the boat so we could go harvest clams. We'll count them today. We hate separating them by s*x and counting them. It takes a long time and it's the worst part of the operation as far as we're concerned, But it has to be done as per our permit. We're sure there's over 6000 of them sitting there.
EDIT.. TOTAL WAS 7156 EGC!

It's been a long time since I've posted on here. I'm sorry for that, but life has been exceptionally trying for me this year. We caught so many EGC today that I had to let you all know that we're still out here despite all the trials and tribulations. Here's today's numbers. 5 crab short of 5000 at 4995 EGC.

Hello,
For December Team WBS trapped 10,321 by boat. They also trapped 8,858 from the shore.
In about July my crew's shore trapping was taken over by BK, another shellfish farmer. It was still my crew doing the trapping, but they went under the supervision of BK. This was done so we didn't have to abandon our shore traps.

Totals for 2024 for Team WBS are 265,530 EGC from the boat.
60,573 from the shore since July.
Total for us, land and sea, is 326,103 EGC in 2024.

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. With commercial salmon fishing, hunting season, shellfish harvest at night, and trapping EGC by day, I've not had the time and energy to keep you all caught up. Trapping numbers are slowing down as expected for October. We, Team WBS, caught 27,625 crab from the boat in Oct. I don't have the shore numbers because another farmer has taken over those traps using my crew. I know it was over 10K EGC from the shore. We're moving traps closer to the port, and will be bringing some traps in, so we use less resources, and can run them in bad weather. A disturbing trend we're seeing is big numbers at the port. 729 EGC 11/6/24, and 819 overnight for 11/7/29. We've been trapping the Port for 2 1/2 years now, and at times thought we had them trapped down there, but we are again getting big numbers there. Where are they coming from? Is it still possible to trap them down? We will keep pounding them in the port and from the shore through the winter, and I'll try to keep you all better updated. Thanks
