Friends of the Nacogdoches Public Library The Friends of the Nacogdoches Public Library was organized in 1972.

Its purpose is to build community and promote literacies by supporting access to programming, community spaces, technologies and collections of resources in a variety of formats.

God morning Friends! Lots of things going on at the NPL this week. Be sure to stop by to shop at our Book Shop during our back-to-school half off sale. If you are a teacher or school staff, show your school ID at the circulation desk and receive a free goodie bag from Friends of NPL. The book shop sale runs through Saturday 8/15/26.

Hello Friends! Did you know that the City of Nacogdoches and Nacogdoches Public Library have 6 free libraries in our little town? The ones at the Depot, Sterne Hoya House and Pecan Acres Park are all certified Little Free Library sites. We also have free libraries at Pioneer Park, Temple Splash Pad, and Bonita Creek Park. These 6 sites are one of the Friends of the NPL programs and 2 of our Friends members, Liz and Malcolm, are monitoring and restocking the boxes often. Please visit one or more of these sites........you can take a book and/or leave a book. That's how this works. There are also several other Little Free Library sites in Nacogdoches. Hello Friends. Remember that our book shop is having a back-to-school sale with everything half price. Teachers and school staff receive a free goodie bag from Friends when you show your school ID. 8/5/26 - 8/15/26. And then on 8/22/26 from 11 to 3 is a big Rummage sale at the meeting room at the NPL. Great prices on so many items! Ya'll come!

Hello Friends! Welcome to our newest patrons! If you don't have a NPL card, come to the circulation desk at the library and sign up.
