June 14, 1775 – June 14, 2026

Today we proudly celebrate 251 years of service, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication by the men and women of the United States Army.

Since its founding on June 14, 1775, the Army has stood ready to defend our nation, protect our freedoms, and answer the call wherever duty leads. Through every generation, Soldiers have embodied courage, honor, and selfless service.

We honor the active-duty Soldiers, Army Reservists, National Guard members, veterans, and military families whose commitment has strengthened our nation for more than two centuries.

Piney Woods Service Association proudly salutes all who have worn the Army uniform and those who continue to serve today.

🇺🇸 Flag Day – June 14 🇺🇸

Today we proudly honor the Stars and Stripes—the enduring symbol of our nation's freedom, unity, and resilience.

For generations, brave Americans have served under this flag, defending the ideals it represents and protecting the freedoms we enjoy every day. It has flown over battlefields, military bases, homes, schools, and communities across our great nation.

At the Piney Woods Service Association, we are grateful for the men and women who have served our country and for the sacrifices made in defense of the flag we proudly salute.

As we celebrate Flag Day, take a moment to reflect on the values our flag represents and the heroes who have protected it throughout our nation's history.

🇺🇸 Women's Veterans Day 🇺🇸

Today, the Piney Woods Service Association proudly honors the women who have served our nation with courage, strength, and dedication.

Women have answered the call to serve in every branch of the Armed Forces, defending our freedoms and paving the way for future generations. Their contributions, sacrifices, and commitment to our country deserve our deepest gratitude and respect.

To all women veterans—past and present—thank you for your service and for the example you set every day.

🇺🇸 BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENING AT PWSA! 🇺🇸

Summer is here, and we have a lot to share!

✅ Veterans Hall at Magnolia Ridge Park is nearly complete
✅ Volunteers needed June 27 to help us finish the project
✅ Tribute Bricks are now available
✅ September Gator Hunt is right around the corner
✅ Planning is underway for our First Annual PWSA Turkey Shoot this October

One of our biggest accomplishments this year has been the construction of Veterans Hall. The new sidewalk to the lake has been poured, and we are now putting the finishing touches on the building before turning it over to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

We are also excited to launch our Tribute Brick Program. For just $50, you can permanently honor a veteran with an engraved brick that will become part of the Walk leading to Veterans Hall.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our mission of serving veterans through outdoor recreation, fellowship, and community.

🇺🇸 HONOR A HERO. BUILD A LASTING LEGACY. 🇺🇸

We are proud to announce our Engraved Tribute Brick Campaign at the new Veterans Hall Building located at Magnolia Ridge Park on B.A. Steinhagen Lake (Dam B).

These personalized tribute bricks will line the freshly poured sidewalks surrounding the Veterans Hall, creating a permanent pathway of honor for the brave men and women who served our country.

Each engraved brick may include:
⭐ Veteran or Active Service Member’s Name
⭐ Branch of Service
⭐ Dates of Service

🔹 $50 Donation — 1 Engraved Brick
🔹 $80 Donation — 2 Engraved Bricks

Today we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it is a time to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness of those who gave their lives defending the freedoms we hold dear.

We honor the fallen heroes who never made it home, and we stand beside the families who carry their memory every day. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

🇺🇸💙 Children of Fallen Patriots Day 💙🇺🇸

Today we honor the children of our fallen heroes — the sons and daughters who carry the legacy of courage, sacrifice, and service left behind by their loved ones.

No child should ever have to know the loss that comes with military sacrifice, yet these incredible young people continue to show strength and resilience beyond their years.

We remember the service members who gave everything for our nation, and we stand beside the families they left behind. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Today we recognize two powerful reminders of what makes our nation strong — loyalty and sacrifice.

On Loyalty Day, we celebrate the pride we share in being Americans and the unity that binds us together.

On Silver Star Service Banner Day, we honor the families of our wounded, ill, and injured service members — those who continue to show strength, resilience, and unwavering support through life’s hardest battles.

These families serve in their own way, standing beside their heroes with courage and love. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.
