We recently welcomed representatives from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to the Call Junction Mitigation Bank for a site visit to observe construction progress.
The visit focused on evaluating site conditions ahead of mitigation credit release and provided an opportunity to discuss mitigation banking, restoration objectives, and the process of developing a dynamic and sustainable stream system.
We appreciate the valuable discussions and continued partnership as we work together to advance successful restoration and conservation efforts.

Tamara and Marc attended the 36th Annual Texas Wetlands Conference. It was a wonderful experience filled with meaningful conversations, valuable information, and the chance to connect with others who are passionate about conservation and wetlands across Texas. A huge thank you to Texas A&M Forest Service for hosting the Texas Forestry Association’s Leaders Emerging Across Forestry cohort at their headquarters in College Station.
We’re proud to see Marc and Jeremey representing CEP as part of this outstanding leadership program through the Texas Forestry Association. Investing in the future of forestry leadership is so important, and it’s exciting to watch leaders across the industry continue learning, growing and building strong partnerships for the future of Texas forestry.

We hosted the Texas Forestry Association’s Leaders Emerging Across Forestry cohort yesterday at our headquarters in College Station. The group of leaders toured our newly renovated emergency operations center and received an overview of our agency departments, programs and more.

Texas A&M Forest Service and the Texas Forestry Association have been partners for over 100 years, helping lead the forest industry across the state.

Almost one year ago, Conservation Equity Partners announced a major milestone for coastal conservation, the first-ever Eastern Black Rail Conservation Bank approved by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Today, on Endangered Species Day, we’re proud to reflect on the impact this project continues to have in protecting and restoring critical habitat for the threatened Eastern Black Rail along the Upper Texas Coast.

White-tailed deer fawning season is in full swing and this little one was born just a few hours ago!
We couldn’t help but admire from a distance and sneak a quick picture. During fawning season it’s important to keep your distance and avoid touching or moving them, even when they seem alone. Most of the time, mom is nearby watching closely.
One of the sweetest signs of late spring in East Texas.

CEP’s own Tamara Wood is heading out with the Tres Locas Chickadees for the East Texas Birdathon team!

They’ll be birding Tuesday, May 5 from sunrise to noon at Frentress-Johnson West Bay MB, counting as many species as they can on permanently protected TLC land.

Pine Island Mitigation Bank is officially approved!

The Mitigation Bank Instrument (MBI) has been fully executed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, marking a major milestone and bringing this project to life.

We’re excited to move forward with a project that will create lasting conservation impact and deliver meaningful environmental benefits for years to come.
