Transparency matters. We are happy to announce our 6th consecutive Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar. Fewer than 1% of US non-profits are awarded this seal. At Reforest The Tropics, we are proud to share the results of our efforts to ensure the most accountable program possible for our forest sponsors and other stakeholders.

Reforest The Tropics has completed an important biological corridor for migratory jaguars in Costa Rica. Ten different forest sponsors have allowed us to reforest over 250 acres of abandoned coffee plantation and cattle pasture which connects two areas of natural forest. This project is especially important because a nearby hydroelectric dam has funneled the jaguars into this area. The forest will of course host countless other species.

RTT's Executive Director showcases a forest in Costa Rica that is just six years old. RTT's goal with every project is to sequester double the carbon in most other reforestation projects, generate income for the owners of the land on which we plant, and create new habitat through a rich, biodiverse, forestry model.
