Movies in the Park starts this Thursday!!

We are excited to announce that Movies in the Park will begin this week on Thursday, June 11th with "The Mitchells vs the Machines."

Movies in the Park is is brought to you by the Main Street Myrtle Creek Association. Movies will begin at 9:00 pm at the bandshell. Free popcorn while supplies last. Bring a blanket and enjoy the show.

It may be chilly so we do recommend that you bundle up.

Movie line-up:
Thursday, June 11th: "The Mitchells vs the Machines"
Thursday, June 18th: "Hook "
Thursday, June 25th: "Hoppers"

Movie showings are weather-permitting and subject to change.
No Alcohol or smoking in the park/ No Pets

🌿🧤 Main Street “Spirit Day” Spring Clean Up is almost here! 🧤🌿

Join us on May 9th as we come together to help clean up & freshen up Downtown Myrtle Creek before our busy season and upcoming community events!

This is a great opportunity to give back, meet others in the community, and help keep our town looking its best. Every little bit helps, and many hands make a big difference! 💚

Teens needing Volunteer Hours? This is your chance!

📍 Meet at Tommy’s All American Burger at 8AM
🕗 Clean up runs from 8:00AM–11:30AM
🌭Free BBQ for volunteers after the cleanup!
🥤Free soda at Dad’s for volunteers

Please bring:
✔ Gloves
✔ Yard tools, rakes, clippers, brooms, etc.
✔ Water bottle
✔ Comfortable clothes & closed-toe shoes

Business owners are also encouraged to join in by tidying up around storefronts, parking lots, and sidewalks. If you have debris for pickup, please have it curbside in the downtown by 4PM and let our crew know.

Let’s work together to keep Myrtle Creek clean, welcoming, and beautiful for everyone who lives here and visits our downtown. 🌼

We had a very successful and well attended meeting last night! Thank you to all who participated and The Vault for hosting us.
We had a lot of great ideas discussed for the future and are excited about our plans to be more involved in the downtown area and community!!

Our Next Meeting will be held March 4th 6:30pm at The Vault Entertainment Center

As you are filling in your holiday schedule, we would love for you to add the Grand Illumination Christmas tree lighting to your calendar.

Each year our Public Works staff go out and find a beautiful tree and place it downtown at Second Avenue and Main Street. The tree is decorated by local elementary school students and then on the first Saturday in December we countdown to lighting the tree.

This year we will be lighting the downtown Christmas tree on Saturday, December 6th at 6:00 PM. City staff will begin handing out hot chocolate and cookies at 5:30 PM and then just before 6:00 PM we will join in on the countdown to turning on the Christmas tree lights and watch as the colorful lights brighten downtown.

Let's ring in the Christmas season together.
